Simply stunning
Loved the Cove, the access to the Lapos lounge and own adults own pool area was just what we wanted. The only dampener was witnessing the obnoxious spring breakers who were rude and ignorant to the staff - but that’s no fault of the hotel. We had a lovely stay.

First off, the resort is nice. Grounds meticulously kept. Plenty of pools and beaches etc. The room was very nice also, reminded me of the Venetian in Vegas. The problem is that Atlantis seems to think it’s the Ritz Carlton but it’s not. Just because there is a Christian Louboutin in the lobby doesn’t give you the right to charge a fortune for a simple breakfast. I travel extensively and have stayed at several 4-5 star hotels and resorts and this, my friends is not that. When I checked in my room was not ready so I was asked to explore and I would be called. My wife and I stepped into Sea Glass for a drink. 3 rum and diet cokes cost me an unusual amount of money. Now, I’ve spent this much before but there was either a spectacular view, live entertainment (or my waitress was topless) I got none of those things. This is just an example of the many ways in which the price point is just off. Simply put: you’re in the Bahamas, not Monaco, not St Bart’s and not Aspen.

Great proximity to the beach and waterpark facilities. We booked deluxe suite and got upgraded to a Sapphire suite which was really awesome. The room is very spacious and have great view to the beach front. Our room is a little noisy during the day since we were on the first floor but the view and convenience to walk to the beach and lie down within 2 min walk is just incomparable.

We paid for the lapis suite at the Cove. The service there was great; however our housekeeping service was not. We had dirty extra blankets and a dirty robe. One day we left sand on a chair to see if it would be cleaned or vacuumed up and it was not. We were thankful to pay for the lapis suites as they served breakfast and snacks throughout the day. The restaurants were all very pricey and we weren’t impressed with the meals. We ended up doing almost all our meals on the suite level so that we weren’t paying $75-100 for meals that we weren’t impressed with. In addition, on the plane ride home we met a couple who wanted to check out the Atlantis to see if they should stay there in the future. The Atlantis wanted $250/person for a day pass. We definitely will not return there.
