The overall stay was okay, it was a birthday treat for my son and husband. The bungalow was a little remote nothing around there. We stayed for 2 nights, which was fortunate as we couldn't check in until 4 and check out is 10 so the first day was spent wondering around until check in. On our departure we made the beds puffed up the cushions and wiped the kitchen down and left bang on ten. Later that evening I enquired about my 100 deposit and when I would receive it, bearing in mind I was positive I would get this back as I had not broken or damaged anything. I had no immediate reply. Louses said yes give me your bank details and I'll transfer the money back. This didn't happen I waited several hours then she said that unfortunately because I didn't put the internal bins outside then I wouldn't get my deposit back. Bewildered, shocked can she do that? When I raised this issue with her she become volatile and abrupt and said I'd not obeyed house rules. I didn't see any house. There was no mention of house rules on hotel.com when I booked. Once I raised the issue again and said the deposit was for breakages etc and I hadn't broken anything she now said I'd pulled the curtain rail out of the wall. I did not do this. The picture she sent me showed clearly the plug holding the rail was inadequate for the weight of the curtains and had merely came away due to incorrect maintenance. I started to realise she would do anything to keep my deposit and I couldn't do anything about it.
