The photo's on the advertising are not representative and misguiding clearly taken a long time ago. The hotel is old and in desperate need of renovation. It has a bad odour. When we flushed the toilet dirty water came up through what barely passed for the shower. We didn't stay and had to find alternative accommodation. Don't go there.. Shame on you Expedia!!!

The hotel (if you can call it like that) had not been renovated since like 1960's. The room we had was dark and dim. Breakfast very poor. Shower awful. Worst experience ever. If you just need roof over your head then it is probably find but definitely nothing like the photos

Bedbug heaven

Bedbug heaven. Good old hotel in a nice area. It was all good until we woke up the in the morning and found out blood spots on the bedsheets. It was full of bedbugs on all mattresses in the room. they changed our room after an hour wait. So pretty much we lost half a day on that. No compensation or offer to clean our clothes so we had to do that ourselves. Called Hotels.com consumer service and got a reply that the hotel refused to compensate us for the problem. Not happy at all.

NOT GREAT...BUT LIVABLE....AND CHEAP....NEW PAINT

I booked this hotel for our last night in Berlin before taking an early morning flight. FIRST THERE IS NO "FREE PARKING" EXCEPT ON THE STREET WITH THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING FOR PARKING. We were lucky to find a parking space down around a corner...but we had to use the train to go to The Zoo and The Sony Center and The Museums....couldn't use our car for fear of not finding a parking space. The hotel is "basic" and on a busy street and you have to climb stairs...no elevator for your luggage. And they give you THREE KEYS....for the inside of the hotel...for the room...and for the front door! At first I was UNHAPPY about all the keys to remember...but I had some white tape that I put on the keys so I could tell which was which without too much funbling. The hotel has been recently painted and upgraged TV and beds and wall and carpet...so actually it was "pretty good for the price" of $50 a night. We spent only one might at this hotel...but If you want to save money...and don't mind stairs....and the three keys...and the busy neighborhood...and parking isn't free or easy...I finally decided that it was OK...not great...but livable!

the internet cut out every night,, they still have rugs when the room advertised was hardwood. Either than that the room was clean and bathroom too. I was really upset about be wifi, cause I would do research at night the day before exploring.

We stayed only for one night, which was o.k. The hotel staff and service were friendly and helpful especially since we checked in very late in the night following a flight delay. The location is very cosy near by the Charlotte burg train station and bus 109 to Tegel airport. The room (for 5 people) was quite simple and basic, with a very small bathroom. It was very clean, though. The breakfast was not so good, with a very few variety of products in comparison to the usual German hotel breakfast. The dining room is rather small and we had to wait until a table was available.

Sounds of Berlin

We chose the hotel on a busy street, because the rooms were announced to be soundproof. The windows were old double windows and provided no barrier against the street noices. The climate control did not exist, but could have been handy on a warm Berlin night. The breakfast was satisfactory and was served in a nice area. It is strange that "soundproof" and "climate control" are only mentioned on Hotel.com, but not on the hotel's own homepage.

Es fehlte das Treppenhauslicht, der Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Das Zimmer war sehr schlecht gereinigt. Hinter dem Nachtschrank lag eine leere Flasche von irgendeinem Gast vorher. Den angebotenen Parkplatz gibt es überhaupt nicht. Selbst die Zudecken der Betten waren aus irgend einem Fundus ( unterschiedlich dick) Eine Weiterempfehlung für Familien kann ich nur ablehnen. Schade, dass sich Portale nicht vor Ort informieren, was sie vermarkten!
