Pros and Cons

The atmosphere of Moxy was amazing, everything about the place screamed retro chic. Unfortunately, the vibes didn’t make up for the uncomfortable bed, the lack of menu items (how do you offer flatbreads and not have flatbreads in stock?) and the incredibly slippery shower floor. The location is amazing, parking structure across the street makes for easy parking, and access to EVERYTHING in downtown Omaha saved the rating. TL;DR take a short walk for food, drinks at the bar are passable, and don’t die in the shower.

Highly recommend staying here!

I love almost everything about this hotel. It’s very unique! Their front desk also doubles as a bar! It might be off putting for those, like myself, who have that sort of anxiety. Although, the bartender/front desk person was very friendly and quick. The room I personally booked was surprisingly small, but I believe that’s just because of the type of room I chose. It was my first time there, so I can’t speak for the size of the other rooms. But the amenities and coziness definitely made up for what I was expecting. But beware, if you book the “loft” room, just be careful when you’re getting in and out of the bottom bed because I smoked my forehead on the loft part above it more times than I’m willing to admit 😂 Overall great stay and great property.

Almost ooops

Common area computer connection is broken. I brought it to the attention of the front desk/bar twice on my first 2 days,(weekdays). It still hasn’t been resolved. Today being Monday. Got my original reservation a day short. Fart fan in bathroom non operational. The bar takes priority over the hotel with the desk. Never could offer a full meal menu. Mixology is required for baristas. Boring…I’ve been to mid town Atlanta moxi, night and day difference. Not an automatic for me now. Telephone in the room isn’t alotted enough bandwidth to get an outside line. I was able to get a line out in the morning. Bar/desk wasn’t able to help with that. I was told that they didn’t work for outside lines. Try 9, 90, and of course it was 91. No dial tone after 91.

Great stay in the heart of the Old Market

I loved this hotel! The location was perfect, and I loved having an option for both cocktails and coffee in-house. The beds were super comfy, and we appreciated the big TV in the room. The bartenders were fantastic, and we made new friends playing shuffleboard and watching NCAA basketball.
