Nice Alternative if You Enjoy the Water
We wanted to do something different and came across the aqua lodges at Yacht Haven. The staff at the marina were very helpful and friendly which made check-in and checkout a breeze. The property was just as the photos detailed. Very clean, new, great location for moving around the town. We rented a boat onsite and they had bikes, kayaks and paddle boards available. The aqua lodges had all the essentials you need. It was nice to relax on the back deck and watch the sunset. Be mindful, the Keys have random roosters and chickens roaming and they can be a little noisy at night but otherwise quiet location. We experienced the same in Key West on this trip as well. Also, staff do a great job with making sure all the essentials you may need are stocked in the bathroom. Keep in mind this is a houseboat and the water heater is small and it is a marine toilet. We will stay again if we travel back to the Keys!

Great floating get-away
Super fun lodging option for our quick trip to the keys. It was well appointed, literally around the corner from the grocery store, and (obviously) right on the water. We took advantage of the bikes on site for a 2 mile ride to the beach, and I went paddleboarding on the water and saw tons of animals (but never the manatee that every other guest seemed to encounter...). It was a delight to have breakfast on the deck and although I don't anticipate another trip to FL, if I did, I would love to stay here again.

The houseboat was super cute and clean. The beds were very comfortable. I appreciate that there was plenty of towels and wash cloths. A lot of hotels are very stingy with providing them. Ashley at the office was very friendly and helpful.

A nice stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Loved many things about Yacht Haven. Watching manatees from the boathouse was an interesting way to start the day. Many lovely sunsets across the water. The rooms are cramped. In my opinion more appropriate for a couple than a family. We wished the very cramped second bedroom with room for only a double bed and a 2’ passage to the bathroom had been turned into a small extra sitting area. All in all we recommend the accommodation.

Relaxing with a view

Perfect

We saw a manatee right at our boathouse so that was great. It didn’t have an oven so that was interesting making dinners especially since the BBQs didn’t have propane and when we got a tank we couldn’t use it because we needed a wrench to open the valve. It was centrally located in the Keys, so that made for easy traveling. We enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely location, gorgeous outlook & we loved the houseboat, everything you needed and all seemed very clean & new. Made use of the free bikes to go to Sombrero Beach for a well needed swim but nice to come back for a chilled evening on the houseboat. Jo wasn’t there when we arrived but keys left in arrivals box which was great a we were early. She was very friendly & helpful when we met her the next day.

We enjoyed our stay here. Pros: houseboat is roomy, good air conditioning, plenty of pots and pans, dishes. Coffee pot available. Had extras of towels including beach towels at the main office. Being able to access the cabana beach club (ten minutes away) was a great plus as they have a beautiful pool and private beach access. The best part of the boat is having the manatees come by. Cons: you are not allowed to fish off the actual boat and I rented this so my husband could easily fish. It does not state on the listing that fishing is not allowed in the boat. Cleaning fee is a bit steep for no daily housekeeping service.
