Happy Apartments Luna is comfortable, well-furnished and well-equipped and in a very convenient location in Genoa. It's not far from the main railway station (walking distance, or 3-4 short bus stops if you have luggage). It's close to bus stops for several useful routes, and there are 2 funiculars and several lifts nearby that can take you effortlessly up to higher levels of the city. A helpful VisitGenoa tourist information office, the Palazzi that form the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old harbour, the aquarium and the Galata Sea Museum are no more than 10 mins walk away. There is no safe/secure box in the apartment, but that didn't worry us as the building is extremely secure.
A few niggles: all the windows face into internal courtyards, with six or more floors above - so there's a low level of natural light and no sun at all shining through the windows. There is, apparently, a roof garden and we received a tantalising email referencing it, but when we took the lift to the top floor, we discovered that access to the roof garden is currently barred by a locked metal door with a sign saying entry is prohibited on grounds of safety. The rental management company didn't seem to know this. They didn't bother responding to our email telling them this - or about the TV remote with the sound turned permanently up to max, making it impossible to watch TV. So their many emails repeating their readiness to provide all manner of assistance felt more than a little hollow. Shame!
