10 lazy days in the sun

Our 10 day stay here was amazing......the staff were all fantastic especially the pool bar staff Randell Zaryl Sam and Avi. Food was plentiful and great choices....our favorite restaurant was the Italian. Rooms were always clean and house keeping staff friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was the night manager who was extremely rude and mean to us - 2 senior ladies - when we asked for some help......he needs some manners.

Iffy Place with Poor Management

the management has serious problems. 1) For 2 evenings there was no hot water. Warm but not warm enough for a comfortable shower. 2) housekeeping left us only 1 towel and two face clothes even after I tipped the cleaner! We had to wait for towels before we could shower. 3) Restaurant service is incredibly slow. 4) Food varies from good to poor, with the majoring being poor. 5) Bed is very firm memory foam, not good for side sleepers like me. I woke several times each night in pain. 5) Listen to the negative reviews. They speak the truth. If you go here, you take your chances.

Fun Girls Trip

We were there on a girls trip. The resort was always being cleaned and the staff was attentive and kind. The pools were refreshing, but the two closest to the beach could have used more cleaning. The food was good and we really enjoyed our stay.

The cleanliness throughout the resort was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. The resort’s amenities were top-notch, and the stunning views of the Sea of Cortez were truly breathtaking. Whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying the delicious food at their restaurants, or simply taking in the serene ambiance, every moment was a delight. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. GR Solaris Lighthouse exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable vacation in Los Cabos!

You can tell that it's still working our some kinks from ownership transfer, there is so much potential, serving staff were wonderful. Entertainment needs work, communication with the connoisseur needs work, we needed to know more about the dining events, missed a fun Mexican evening because we had reservations for Italian night, would have preferred the other due to the entertainment. Place itself is beautiful and if you just want to sit by the pool or walk the beach this place is for you. Not a lot for kiddos to do. Use Uber to get you places very inexpensive and reliable.

This hotel is for Relax!!! If your looking for that this is the place. It wasn’t too many people for the first couple of days it was perfect. They have three restaurants and breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet with lots of options. Really good food. The best part , SERVICE! Every one was very attentive excellent customer service! If you want a place for relax and have a good time. This is it.

There was no details to restaurant times or a guided tour of the premises. We always felt lost and having to ask a lot of questions. The worst part is them trying to schedule an appointment for a “vacation club” time share that would have cost &30 just to listen to them. They were pushing that hard on us. Property is very rundown and is in need of a serious makeover. I understand it was recently sold so hopefully it will improve. I went to take a bath and my bath water was orange. I went to the store to buy sunscreen and they were out. Not well staffed and very dated.

The hotel property is located in a safe neighborhood with lots of dining options and shopping. The hotel condition is very good. The only complaint is the buffet and reservations options . It left my wife and I feeling disappointed. I would definitely recommend it still.

Pro: Nice place, nice location. Food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The New Year's Eve party by the pool was awesome! Con: Worst check-in experience of my life. Two-plus hours in line in the lobby waiting for super slow check ins and they would not call for additional help. Despite my thinking everything was paid for on Expedia there was a surprise local tax at check in. Rooms are not carpeted, so you hear every footstep of the people above you. Cost me a couple nights sleep. A/C units in the room makes you think you are standing near a 737 on take-off. So noisy I had to stop using (glad it wasn't summer!) Never once had a hot shower - water is luke warm at best and at other times downright cold.

GR Solaris Lighthouse is an exceptional all inclusive resort in Los Cabos. My wife and I took a Cabo Christmas at the end of 2024 and we stayed at this resort. The location was beautiful, the ocean view room was amazing and the pool, amenities and entertainment were excellent. The absolute best part of our stay was the wonderful staff. Francisco, Christian, Carla, Alex and the rest of the staff made sure we had everything we needed. We’d be happy staying at GR Solaris Lighthouse every Christmas. Thank you to our new friends in Los Cabos! See you next time and Happy New Year!
