Sep 6, 2026Used for an overnight stop-over, Marston’s Pub menu, food was very reasonably priced and good choice for breakfast too. Room clean and comfortable. The staff were all fantastic, everybody was so friendly and helpful.

Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the pub downstairs. The town of Hayfield is also delightful and a great place to stay within Peaks. Highly recommend!

Sleeping conditions could be improved by addition of something closer to blackout curtains on the large window - much light from street in the room through the night.

Albeit it was comfy, dry and functional amd served a purpose for our stay. A tired old pub that needs money spent on it in areas. But we loved the food and great staff

Cooked breakfast was good, served hot and good value for money. Teas and coffees are at extra cost but overall still very competitively priced compared with chain hotels. A very enjoyable stay.

We stopped overnight on a hike and was a great place to stay, good selection of beers. Breakfast was good and very well priced. Would certainly stay here again.
