Never again…
Please save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. The highlight was the person who reached out with check-in instructions. He was pleasant and informative. Unfortunately it was downhill from there. The rooms are in need of major renovations. My young daughter was in tears, literally screaming in fear. The kicker was the person singing George Sink’s “9999999” jingle at the top of her lungs for hours starting at 6a. There obviously is no one / no security on site, at least on the weekends. We were so sleep deprived that we found another place to stay on Saturday night. Buyer beware!

Guy called us around 11 in the morning on day we were checking in and told us our room was ready if we wanted to check in early….upon checking in he told me that there was nobody booked in the next day if we wanted to check out late it wasn’t a problem at all…amazing service

Great room in great location
Great older but well kept place near the boardwalk and the beach. Friendly service! The room was spacious with a balcony and a kitchenette. From my second floor room you couldn’t see the ocean view well, but I am sure it was great from the upper floors. Walking distance to numerous services, I didn’t even need my car during my four day stay.

A wonderfully welcoming and sweet hotel
The hotel is older but excellently maintained and well loved. We enjoyed the ocean view and experienced our room as being very welcoming and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It is a two minute walk to the Myrtle Beach walking path, boardwalk, and beach. If traveling with two pets, you must communicate in advance to get special permission to have two. If difficulty climbing stairs, contact them in advance to get first floor accommodations as there isn’t an elevator. We loved staying at the Darlington and will definitely return!

Friendly people who are also pet friendly
Booked a last minute trip to Myrtle beach and this property had a great rate. This trip was mainly a trial run for our dog and they were very accommodating and even gave us a little pet care package upon arrival. And they have one of the lowest pet fees around at $20. It is directly across the street from beach access and the pier. We dealt with 3 different staff members while there and they were all very nice. They even allowed us a late checkout with no hassle. Highly recommend for anyone, especially people looking to bring their pets

My favorite place to stay!
This is my favorite place to stay, and I travel a lot. There's a full kitchen and everything you need to cook your own meals. The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The customer service is stellar. And the sunrise views over the ocean can't be beat.

Darling Darlington Inn
Our stay at the Darlington Inn was wonderful! It was our first trip with our medium sized Beagle mix dog and the room was pet friendly and roomy enough she could play. There is a very nice dog park a 15 min walk away not to mention the beach is right across the street. We had a beautiful view on the third floor! We enjoyed lots of walks! The State Park is close by too which is beautiful! The location is perfect with plenty to do close by. The room was cheerfully decorated and up to date in decor and furnishings and very clean. There are just a few things that need attention, the stove eyes need a deep cleaning, and there are traces of mold around areas of the tub ( nothing TileX and caulking can’t improve) and the hot water takes a long time to get to the room. All of these things are NOT big problems. Customer service is amazing, we felt very welcome at The Darlington and we will be back!

I had a lovely 4-night stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and everything in the kitchenette worked as it should. I didn’t see a single bug the entire time I was there. The location across the street from the beach is fantastic. Loved sitting on the balcony and hearing the waves crashing. I would stay here again.

As you arrive, don’t let the weathered appearance of the building form your opinion of the Darlington Inn. The staff will greet you with a warm smile and friendly welcome. The rooms are nicely renovated with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cleanliness is most important to my husband and I, the Darlington Inn gets an A+. We will definitely return for another stay on our next trip to Myrtle Beach.
