We stayed 2 nights. The staff was pleasant at check-in. We were in the older 3 story part. There is also a 10 story tower that might be better or worse; I'm not sure. The hallway is open to the outside and the rug is nasty. They need to just rip up the carpet and paint the concrete. The room had been redone. We were on the 2nd floor and had a nice ocean view. Ocean access was very easy. The room was clean and newly carpeted. The bed was comfy. Oddly, the refrigerator, stove, and tissue holder were still old and rusty. The bathroom was clean. The hot water had to run for literally 30 minutes to get hot and there was little water pressure. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel and more parking across the street. Don't park under the trees if you can. My car paid the price from the birds but nothing can be done about that. Oddly, I received an email from the manager asking me to provide 9 & 10 ratings. This is not a 9 or 10 resort. This is an average place and given the water situation, I would not stay here again. Oh, breakfast was the typical premade eggs, make your own waffles style. The dining area is really small and we opted not to eat there on day 2 and to eat at one of the hundreds of pancake places in Myrtle.
