Anchor on Little Collins - Southern se trouve dans le quartier Quartier central des affaires de Melbourne, Ă seulement 4Â minutes de marche de Gare de Spencer Street et Ă 3Â minutes de marche de Collins Street.
Spent 4 night in this property with my family. ( wife + 2 teen Children ).
size is big enough ( 70 m2 ) 2 bed + 2 Bath. carpet need to change. my room has no good view because at first floor.
fast process for check in, But they ask me to give AUD 500 for security deposit which the value is too Big for spent only 4 night and I already Full Paid for the premises around AUD 700.
When Checked out I ask the reception to refund my AUD 500 security Deposit, surprising me they told that I have to email the Owner !!
until today 22 Dec 2019 I didnot get respond from them..!!
This is VERY BAD EXPERIENCE in Melbourne..!!
Check in terrible, difficult on timing, meet you on the street
Shower flooded all the way to hallway and property manager did nothing
Both couches broken
Ironing board broken
Great location, but unfortunately the property was poorly kept. Sheets and mattresses were stained, lounges were all sunken in and broken, as were the dining chairs, splatter marks all over the walls, all the lamps were broken, white stains around the toilet bowls, finger prints all over the mirror wardrobes and the list goes on. Also the drain in the shower was blocked.
This was a last minute booking on the road back to Melbourne. Please take note if you are considering booking this: NOTE 1. This is NOT a hotel. There is no reception desk. Only a person, plain clothed, no company ID, to sign you in and give you the keys. NOTE 2. Hotels.com states there is a cash deposit upon booking. They do not state just how much. It is a $500.00 deposit taken from the plain clothed person once in your room. They take a wireless EFTPOS device from their backpack and ask for the money straight away. They can only give you the machine receipt and not an invoice to say its been received.
We were very taken back by all of the above, rang Hotels.com and received zero support. Apparently, because the deposit stuff is detailed, we had not a leg to stand on. If we wanted to cancel, we would lose the over $500 we already paid for the room booking.
Apparently, the money is refunded within 14 days. It is DAY 17 and we have not been refunded the $500 deposit. If you ring the number on the Anchor Abodes website, a simple greeting of "hello _____ speaking" is said. No word of whom you are calling. After calling today the lady said she will talk to her team about refunding the deposit and that team will send me an email. When I asked for her to call me back she said she couldn't because "it's not her department". Ever heard of a courtesy call? I'm sorry but this is such a dodgy deal all around and very poor.
Large newish unit but many things were already broken ( toilet seats, showere hose, kitchen tap) or didn't work ( dryer). Getting in and out of the building often frustrating as tags didn't work. Car parking $40 per day and a tram ride away. Common building hallways really smell.
We booked in at last minute quite late in the evening and I found staff to be a great help. The apartment was clean and was very comfortable. We all enjoyed it. Thank you :-)
This was not a hotel, it was a private apartment, we waited 90 minutes in a lobby until a friendly passerby managed to contact the girl to come and let us into the apartment. She gave us the keys and pointed out where the local supermarkets were and that was all we saw of her!
I had notified her of our eta she apparently expected us to have a smart phone, as she had sent her number when we were already at the airport, her e-mail was waiting for me when I arrived home. The phone number on the letterhead did not work, it was only due to the young man who took pity on us that we were able to get in. There was no service all week, the cleanliness was not up to an acceptable standard, particularly as the apartment was not cheap. We were promised a disabled friendly bathroom, however one bathroom had the showerhead hanging off the wall and both bathrooms had very slippery floors and no handrails. consequently my disabled sister was unable to take a shower all week
We were unable to work out how to use the cooker, no instructions with any equipment
. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.
Nice apartment, very close to great shopping areas
Nice apartment. Great location. Not clean, our bathrooms were quite dirty & we had issues with the power points- lamp globes blown & not replaced. As there is no reception we couldn't leave our bags anywhere in the hotel after checkout as we had an evening flight. Overall our stay was pleasant, just disappointed with the lack of cleanliness.
This is a residential apartment building, so someone meets you at the building on arrival to hand over keys. No problems at all with this and room was clean for our stay. 10min walk to Casino, Southern Cross station across road.
Comfortable, with nearly everything we needed. It was a lovely holiday. Just after Christmas was a perfect time to visit. Shops had loads of sales and most of the locals were on holiday too. Easy to get around Melbourne.
Great location, but the Room was very unclean. Additional key did not allow access into building. No lid for jug, minimal equipment supplied for a self contained apartment.
