Itâs small put perfectly formed. Great weather helped as we could sit outside our hut for our dinner and breakfast. Amazing bed and pillows. Excellent shower.
Our stay at the lodge was very comfortable and private. The room was spacious, with a well appointed bathroom and comfortable bed. The grounds of the hotel were very well kept and beautiful. The only part of our stay we didnât love was that there was no one to greet you on arrival, so we felt a little confused about entering the property. Youâre also pretty far from town so be sure to prepare accordingly!
Fantastic setting near to Loch Ness. The hut itself was cosy, comfortable and had a good shower, TV, and a WiFi signal strong enough for working.
The host recommended a local pub for dinner, which was handy - again a 10-minute drive away.
There was a 10-minute walk in the welcome pack that took in stunning views. Would recommend and would return.
The Highland Bear Lodge is a peaceful retreat in the Inverness Highlands. It is a must stay! We had a wonderful time! The Lodge is picturesque and idyllic. We had a wonderful experience and plan to return some day. I highly advised you to build in a day of rest at this wonderful location. There is a lot to see in the highlands as well, but the lodge is worth the time! 100% would recommend this amazing venue. Thank you for such wonderful service, clean comfortable room, and the coziest front patio, with the best views of Scotland! Thank you again!
This lodge is incredible. It gave the full feel of an old world hunting lodge with lush surroundings. Off the beaten path with tons of local hiking. The building structure is amazing and the rooms felt like you were back in time. A must stay.
We had a wonderful stay in room King Charles. Mark was very accommodating and provided oatmilk and fresh fruit when we informed him we didnât eat meat.
We used to outdoor jacuzzi, which is private for the room. An amazing experience with incredible views in the evening. Itâs good to know that they charge you for using the jacuzzi though, 20 quid per day. Breakfast was decent enough, but not very versatile.
We got (not newly baked) croissants every day, marmelad, butter, cheese, yogurt, cereal and OJ. You eat in your room, which is a bit different but we found it cozy.
Also worth mentioning is that the hotel doesnât have any restaurant and the closest by are about a 15 min drive away. Nothing within walking distance really.
Bed was very comfortable and room beautiful.
We would happy to come back!
I cannot recommend the Highland Bear Lodge highly enough. What a stunning location and place to stay. Everything was absolutely lovely and very unique. We stayed in the Prince Charlie room and it was absolutely gorgeous. I have never stayed anywhere with an in room breakfast provision, but it worked so well and we really enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
Absolute BEST accommodations Iâve experienced in 40 years! Gorgeous property, spacious and well appointed room. The attention to detail in the decor and accouterments was thoughtful and creative. Mark the host was genuine and accommodating. Started off my first trip to Scotland here and would happily stay again! Fabulous stay!
