This place is AMAZING!! Ten stars! Can't like it enough! Incredibly competent staff, top knotch amenities, spa/hot tub/sauna excellent. Great location for viewing northern lights, and have an optional northern lights wakeup call! Absolutely beautiful location. Waterfall a short walk away. Views! Incredibly clean!! Knowledgeable bartenders, excellent selection. We didn't eat at the restaurant, so can't speak to that, but the bar snacks were delicious.

The hotel was lovely in general but our room was BOILING hot. We figured out that even after FINALLY locating the heat dial and turning it down, we still had to open the window to get any relief but there was no way to hold the window open only part way without sticking some kind of item in the way. When we mentioned this at check out we were told yes you have to turn the heat all the way down, and turn off the heated floor in the bathroom and perhaps open your window - that would have been nice to know when we checked in!

Best Hotel for the South Coast.
Best hotel of the 4 we stayed in during our trip. Stayed for one night in mid-December on a trip along the south coast. We arrived around 6pm on the 15th, the man that checked us in was pleasant and professional, we received an Expedia VIP upgrade to a suite, 2 free drinks and Spa access. Room 202, which has to be the best room in the hotel, had a simply stunning view, brilliantly designed and comfortable room. They even added an extra of a card, cake and treats for my partner's birthday which my partner was so grateful for. I honestly wish I had spent the whole trip here. The jacuzzi in the spa had an almost mystical view across the bay at night, the barman whom we received the drinks from was humourous and broke out a fresh bottle of prosecco for my partner, extra credit for him. The meal in the restaurant was the best we had on the trip served by equally the best waitress we had, Thespina went the extra mile for my partners dietary requirements and was just generally very warm to us both. I've eaten in Michelin Stars with worse staff. Checkout was smooth with the same gentleman that checked us in. All in all 5 stars would return in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed the restaurant and super interesting interior. It's a bit odd to have literally 3 cardio machines which have a straight look into the pool area. Both, the pool and the gym area, consequently feels awkward as one inadvertently watches the other ..

Great hotel
This is a beautiful hotel. It's in a very dark location so it's a great place to see the northern lights if the weather cooperates. Everything was clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious even the shower which is rare in Iceland. Would definitely return for a stay here.

Nice hotel room, but they kept the temperature very warm and there’s no temperature control for the rooms. Also there are very few places to eat in the area, so you have to go to the restaurant. It is quite expensive. Breakfast buffet was definitely worth it though.
