Poor and Unreliable Service
Chose this property for airport shuttle service and called prior to flight to confirm late night airport pickup availability. Receptionist assured that shuttle service is available and to call when I arrive. When I did arrive prior to midnight (earlier than expected), called and was told that deiver left for the night. Very unreliable and annoying esp because there were plenty other lower priced / higher value hotel property options I could have chose!

Highly disappointed
There was a hockey tournament in town and homecoming weekend for the college. It was tough to find something as I didn’t pick right when I found out about going up and so I felt like the prices were inflated. The check-in was okay except they gave cookies that had nuts in them without asking if anyone wanted them without nuts. Big disappointment for the family. The room had a weird smell in one location that never went away over the two days we were there. There was a door to the adjoining room and the deadbolt looked like it had been broken and if someone wanted to they could have opened their side and peeked in because there was a gap. One of the outlets only worked on the bottom plug so you had to unplug the tv to get it to work. The heat had a funky smell when it was turned on. The elevators apparently had something going on with them because they were really slow. I won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend going there.

Recent Stay
The room and service were excellent. My one complaint was the breakfast buffet. The “hot” food was cold. Otherwise everything was great. I may come back next time I visit, but I will avoid the breakfast buffet.

Restaurant has only like two waiters, food takes forever and quality of food is really bad. In the room we found mouse traps an roaches. This is a very old hotel with a lot of problems. Sorry to see a great Hilton to go down this way

Check in was wonderful! The lady was very helpful and just a delight! Went down to the bar for a drink. Sat at a table waited for order to be taken, waited even longer to get our drinks. No follow up to see how we were doing. Had to go back up to bar to place another drink order. Long wait again for the to be brought over. Next night went down to order dinner to take back to the room. Gave me a menu and pointed out at least 5 things that they did not have. I ordered salmon and a Ceasar salad. The bill was incorrect the salmon was not added. Waited over 30 minutes while others were served. My order got lost?? or they just did not bring it out?? not sure what was whispered between the bar tender and the cook. while sitting there the 2 gentlemen sitting next to me received their meals. I asked what they ordered as I did not see it on the menu. I would have preferred the fish dinner. The menu I received as I was not a full menu. The Lady Bartender had no sense of urgency to wait on the guests and kept blaming everything on a new system.

The hotel and amenities are amazing. You are really wowed by the property! We did have a hang up with the staff, and my wife had an odd interaction with the check in staff. I just assume she was new and didn’t understand the process. But, then the next day a different lady who worked there also made a snide comment about conversation and interaction earlier, when it was the hotel staff who were confused and in the wrong. But, other than the 5 min interaction, everything else was very wonderful! Happy with the rooms and the ambience!

I contacted the front desk after midnight on the night I checked in. I didn't check in till probably around 10:40 PM. Getting into my room. I decided to take a shower, I realized there was no hot water. The faucet on my shower turned a complete 360°. Not a good sign. I contacted the front desk and they informed me that no one was on maintenance at that time. I hung up and then called back again and was offered a room four floors down to either use just a shower or to move to. I did not want to move four floors away at almost 1 AM in the morning. I also did not want to travel four floors just to shower. So, I declined. Maybe it was stupid of me, but I assumed that later that day they would send someone to fix the shower and make it so I did not have to shower elsewhere to receive hot water. This did not happen. I came back and it was the same thing. I decided not to push the issue, so I did not shower for two days. There was plenty of hot water out of the faucet of the sink in the bathroom, so I used that to sponge myself. I would have raised more of an issue if I would have been paying for it on my own, but my company covered this trip. I still don't think it's fair for them to pay this amount of money for a room that had no ability for me to shower. I will be coming back multiple times to Rochester for business, this is not where I will be staying.

Someone in housekeeping needs to go through after a room has been cleaned and make sure that it actually is clean. There was still some garbage between the dresser and the bed. Other than that, it was a good size in space for a double tree.

The hotel facility was attractive and initially we were impressed. However, lack of readily available drinking water was a negative. Most hotels have some water in the lobby. The ice machine on our floor (2) was broken and looked like it had been for some time. There was water available to buy for $4 a bottle. Asked for a towel and bar of soap in the evening on our way up to the room but it never arrived to our door. The room housekeeping job was good, but there was a towel and some garbage on floor in hallway from the evening into the next morning when we left. We didn’t get to use the pool but it looked nice.

Some front desk staff were friendlier than others. I asked 3 times for more shower gel before tracking down a house keeper who brought it to me right away. Overall I would stay there again as it is convenient for what I need to do when I’m in Rochester.
