We visited Hotel MIO over the Christmas holiday. Upon check-in, the desk clerk asked if we would need two beds for my partner and me. This is one of my biggest pet peeves as an LGBTQ traveler. If I wanted two beds, I would have reserved a room with two beds. Once in the room, even for a european hotel, the room proved to be so small it was difficult to get in and around the bed and offered almost no storage. At breakfast the next day, we overheard homophopic slurs directed at us from one of the female waitstaff. This is unacceptable. If you're an LGBTQ traveler, I would avoid this hotel.

City Break

Hotel location was ideal for our short visit to the Christmas markets in Munich, most of the old town is within walking distance. Breakfast consisted of a wide selection to suit most tastes. We did find the room to be a little smaller than we are used to, however it was very clean, with a good shower in the bathroom.

MIO by AMANO is centrally located. We were able to walk to Marienplatz and to the Residenz. The main train station is about a mile and so is the main bus station. The hotel itself is clean and the room we had was spacious. The checkin/checkout process is really easy. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very cute and right in the center of the old town shopping district. The room and bathroom were both fairly small, but I expected that because of the location. The room didn't have many extras (no coffee, clothing iron, mini fridge, etc.). They did give guests a bottle of water daily, which was nice. I would choose this hotel again!

I went during Oktoberfest so at night it was quite noisy so if you’re facing the street you might have issues. Bring ear plugs. Property was in excellent location. Very clean. The buffet breakfast was lovely and I loved the breads and falafel in particular. I’d stay here again I think but maybe ask for a room not facing the street

Hotel is located in heart of old town so very convenient to historical sights. 20min walk from train or 25min from bus depot. Staff were extremely helpful and assisted with places to visot and arranging taxis. Exceptionally clean amd serviced daily. Be aware the "comfy double" that wr jad did not allow room for opening 2 suitcases. Jad to keep under the bed but otherwose perfect stay
