Nice hotel for the price on the beach. Rooms were suites with kitchen and sitting room. Balcony had ocean views. Funiture is older and could use updating. We enjoyed our stay.

Old..It’s all about Location
Very old and dated. Balcony door wouldn’t lock. Exterior windows separated bedroom from living room. Very wierd room set up. Ac condensed took up half of balcony. Smelled like pot or cigarettes in common areas and hallways. Fire alarm went off at 12:30 am. According to other guests for 3rd time in 4 days. Decided not to stay passed first night of my entire reservation as I didn’t like the hotel. Lipstick on a pig.

Corner room was the best
The ocean views and balconies from room 415 (corner room) were amazing. I slept with the door open to hear the sounds of the waves which was very relaxing. Being a corner room provided 2 balconies and the living area was separate from the bedroom which was nice. Andrea was very helpful at the front desk and overall it was a relaxing stay. The hotel is a bit older and could use some updating but it did not affect my experience. It’s conveniently located a few miles to the national seashore and great restaurants like the Garlic and my personal favorite for casual dining, JBs.

Take Your Chances
Despite a check-in time of 4 pm, we got into the two rooms I booked after 4:30 pm (we arrived at 3:30 PM hoping they might be available) - they weren't, and the front desk suggested that we wait by the pool. Once there, the expected sound of waves splashing on the nearby Atlantic shore was drowned out by the loud noise of construction or cleaning equipment being used by workers at the hotel - possibly supporting roof repair or the carpet cleaning mentioned by the front desk as the reason why our rooms weren't ready. BTW, there was no information regarding maintenance work on the website when I booked the reservations. My room was clean, the layout was great, and everything worked - I couldn't have been happier. The second room for other family members showed signs of damage (a picture torn off the wall was left on the floor leaning against the wall, a door jamb was split as if someone tried to kick it in, a broken toilet seat, and the bathroom floor was filthy (he has pictures) with chunks of dirt/hair in the corners. Were my friends given the "penalty room" because they dared to complain about check-in time not being honored? The hotel made no apology for the inconvenience. Breakfast at the hotel's Seascape Restaurant the following day was enjoyable in the brightly lit room overlooking the ocean, but we weren't sorry to check out and move on. Thoughts: Are check-in times meaningless? If one complains about mistreatment, should they expect revenge? Yes, to both at the NSB BW.

WORST HOTEL
upon entering the room for the first time, the bathroom had been made to look like it was cleaned for us however, the tub was full with water, hair & dirt. towels had literal pubic hair on them which was a huge health violation. the sink also didn’t drain and was moldy, a roach crawled out of it at one point, blinds were broken, the old man at the front desk was rude and wouldn’t give me an extra blanket despite me having Pneumonia and needing one. he looked me up and down and just said “No” ?? i also lost my cats in the room at one point and he scared me even more bc he told my boyfriend that they “probably just jumped off the 7th story balcony onto the pool deck” yet didn’t even offer to unlock it for us and instead had him hop the fence. luckily they were somehow just under the bed and good thing seeing that the staff wasn’t much help! i will not return again. this was the absolute worst vacation i have ever had.

Location was good right on water, but a lot of guests were full time, have been there over 3 months with a lot of extra people coming and going, didn’t feel safe, people seemed to be moving in all the time, bringing hot plates coffee machines, cats in hallways, trash out side of rooms left in hallways not picked up, only one elevator working, with the place full very hard to get out, if they are opened for homeless people should said so, should never charge top price for room to be shared with homeless families, with drug dealers everywhere in parking garage and parking lot

The front desk people were unfriendly and unhelpful. There was supposed to be coffee available in the lobby and one morning it was not available the next day when the coffee was provided there was no sugar and when I tracked down the front desk person to request some she sent me up to the restaurant on the second floor to get some. There was what appeared to be a bag of trash out side a room on the fifth floor which was never removed by housekeeping the entire time we were in the hotel. In the morning there were used towels out side many of the doors on our floor. I have never stayed in a hotel where the housekeeping help did not remove use towels after they cleaned a room. All and all it was a disappointing stay and the fact that it was a Best Western truly amazing.
