Great Stay at Wingate
This was my 3rd or 4th.stay but it had been a few years since my last stay. It looks like some updates have been done. Check in was swift and the clerk was wonderful. The lobby is very inviting, comfortable and pretty. The hotel was very clean as was my very ample sized king room. 2 pet peeves are an ineffective climate control system and poor water pressure with inadequate hot water. THE WINGATE Passes with flying colors. The thermostat quickly warms and cools the room. Plenty of hot water with a great pressure. I love that they have a coffee service, refrigerator and microwave In The Room. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of lamps, desk, chair and 2 additional comfortable chairs( kudos). There was a safe in the closet but seemed to be inoperable. The TV though perfectly sufficient could be a bit larger. Free Breakfast was really good- thank you Wingate. Plenty of FREE PARKING and they had luggage carts right as you enter the front doors. I was extremely happy with my stay and the price was very reasonable. Definitely worth consideration when staying in the Raleigh/ Durham area. I think they have an airport shuttle as well

Rooms are old in furniture . Towels shows their age and some are yellow in color. No room service cleaning took place after first night. Request for pillows took 2 phone calls and never made it to room until I went down and got them. Good luck
