air conditioning unit
The service was great but the air conditioning unit was terrible and extremely noisy.

Great location, average hotel
Good stay. Canmore is a great place to stay when you want to visit the Banff/Lake Louise area. The hotel room was modern and comfortable. The whole stay (3 days) that we were at the hotel, the garbage can in front of the front entrance was overflowing, and no one bothered to empty it.

An ok review
The room is clean and we had access to the microwave and a fridge. The front desk receptionist who assisted us when we arrived is very friendly and accommodating. However the receptionist who assisted us when we checked out the next day isn't as friendly and accommodating. We asked since it is our first time in Canmore on where to go and he told us that he isn't familiar with the town and cannot give any suggestions to where to go. As a receptionist especially in a hotel, you should know where are the best tourist attractions in the area. That is where you get good reviews and attract customers to check in with your hotel

Could be better.
Told upon check on that there was no continental breakfast, which was fine. Rrquested a room on the main floor as there is no elevator, and I did state we needed a handicap room after we booked, and called to ensure it would be available. When arrive, none was available.

Poor 2.0
Hotel is very dirty, A/C didn’t work well
I’ve included pictures of the lack of cleaning for this room... Pros: -good location. -bed is decent, not the worst but definitely not the best. Cons: -A/C is very loud and doesn’t cool down room much at all, very warm. -mould in the bathroom caulking. -still a ton of hair all over the room that wasn’t cleaned. -Tub is very shallow, so good luck if you want to have a bath. -booked a room with 2 beds for 1 night and they only gave me 1 bath towel, and it was so small and thin that it barely did anything to dry me off. You’d think they’d have good towels, and put more than 1 in the bathroom... -with COVID-19, first thing I do getting into a hotel room is use a few Lysol wipes on everything I’ll touch. Most times it doesn’t pick up much, but in this hotel the wipes were very very brown and dirty at the end. -wifi and cable are bare minimum, so I hope you have lots of data on your phone... -I didn’t see an elevator, I could have missed it, but the front desk guy even said “stairs are down the hallway” so I doubt there is an elevator here. For the price, I definitely say steer clear. There’s cheaper and cleaner in Canmore......

Fine for what you pay for
Lots is different because of COVID-19. Interaction with check in was very minimal, didn’t even check ID, which makes me question why hotels ever did that in the first place. Other than that we only stayed one night and had zero interactions with anyone until check out. Rooms were small, a tad dated but clean. Everything worked fine. Again, fine for how much we paid. Kids thought the bunk bed room was fun, but with where the TV was we couldn’t all lie in bed and watch. Which, didn’t really matter cause there isn’t anything good on cable these days anymore anyway.

It was great! I even came half hour early for breakfast which was perfect for my getaway.

Fair 4.0
Not happy
Hard to understand how it’s rated 8.2 because it felt more like a 4. The front desk staff were really nice but the conditions of the room weren’t so good.

Worst customer service! Staff are very inconsiderate
