Well, it's definitely an experience!! First off the smoking rooms reek of smoke, period. Put some deodorizers in the room for god sake. Secondly, the Direct TV was in an out of reception constantly. The bathroom sink water trickled out of the spigot. Probably needs the screen cleaned out.
Most dissatisfying was the late check-out was only 30 minutes after normal checkout. (11 to 1130) Manager knocking on my door at 1135, "are you leaving?" BS!!
I'll stay elsewhere next Dalhart trip!!

The A/C in my room was OFF when I arrived. They left the unit on fan only. This was July in the Texas panhandle! It was hotter in the room than it was outside at 8:45pm when I arrived! I of course switched the unit to High Cool right away, but it still took over two hours before the room was a cool enough temperature to fall asleep. And I had been on the road for 12 hours. I understand the room doesn’t have to be cold when it’s unoccupied. But again… TEXAS in JULY! Don’t be cheap! Let the A/C run in the room! The room temperature was around 85-90 on arrival. Not acceptable!!

Front desk assistance provided good customer service. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only issue I had was a couple of flies already inside the room.

Nope, just nope.
Checking in and checking out the person was not very pleasant to myself or my husband. Our booking was for a single queen room, got to the room, it was a full size bed. Decided just to deal with it because we were tired as heck from driving. The bed was hard as a rock, I like firm beds but this was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in including the cheap Walmart air mattress we camped on the 2 nights following this stay. The bedding was all super thin and barely kept us warm. If this is your only option, sleep in your car.

I thought I has reserved a non-smoking room. When I got there the clerk said I had reserved a smoking room. I asked her to change. She said NO!!! Room smelled like smoke, very unpleasant. "Super" breakfast was very minimal. Juice, rolls and yogurt. Bed was old and lumpy.

This is a clean lodging option with indoor access to rooms through a locked hallway. The rooms are nicely appointed and the owner is onsite, providing good service. However, smoking is allowed in some rooms and the smell of it is in the halls. There is little sound Insulation within the building, so I could clearly hear conversations as I walked through the hall. I heard dozens of loud door closures through the night. The ac is loud and served as white noise. Otherwise I would not have slept at all. The owner does the best with the facility, but its limitations are too much for me to return.

Pleasantly surprised! We always use hotels.com whenever we get a hotel and we rely heavily on the reviews. I normally do not stay somewhere with a rating below 8. We got this last minute and it had the highest rating of any hotel available in town that day (7.4) and I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Check-in and parking were easy, rooms were clean and easy to get to, ice and coffee were convenient the next morning. It’s near the railroad but we never heard it. Would stay here again!

The room and premises were clean yet I wish there were an outside garbage can so I didn't have to bring in my trash to dispose of it.
I didn't like that the exterior door slammed shut which in the early mornings can be heard by others on the same floor - I was trying to be conscientious of other folks still sleeping!

By accident I booked a smoking room , went down to the front desk and requested another room but clerk refused to move us , it was a horrible experience , the smell was so horrible that we couldn’t sleep at all . We had to stop at a laundry mat to wash all of our luggage the smell was so bad.
