The hot tub was closed the first night, open for the remaining three nights, however the bubble feature did not work. The pool was nice. Things were clean.
The room was lovely and big. I only had housekeeping come and make up the room one day out of a four night stay. When I mentioned this with the front desk, they apologized but did nothing. I don’t know why this happened, I would have liked the room freshened.
The air conditioning is loud, but works. Think Frozen… I requested an extra duvet as the a/c was set to 61 F the day I arrived, the room was frigid.
Front desk staff while friendly, spend all their time in an office off to the side. You wait for many minutes for them to come address you when you stand at the front desk.
Breakfast was lackluster, but enough to help you start your day. You’ll likely need a morning snack though before lunch.
The restaurant next door looks closed and abandoned.
The motel seems to cater to tradesmen, construction crews etc. many large trucks in the lot- and they park up close to the building instead of further back in the lot so that families could park closer.
The room was fine for what I needed, a clean bed to rest. I wasn’t in the hotel other than to sleep.
I’m also a hockey mom and I’ve stayed in way worse.
If you are sensitive about your hotel experience, go elsewhere. If you just want an (outdated) but clean place to rest your head, and maybe a dip in the pool/ hot tub, try it. The price was right for what I needed/ got.
