The location is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful scenery and view of the ocean. I feel that there should be a little bit more care taken with cleaning the outside walkways and steps, etc. I would also like to see railings in the pool area. It is not an easy place for a senior citizen for walking. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to look after me with my special diet needs.

Peace of paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta Real. The location, the rooms, ocean and pool are excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. The only negative would be that it definitely has reached the age where it needs some major refurbishment. Mostly the exterior areas. There is a lot of cracking in the sidewalks, rotting of planks and posts along the walk ways. For that reason the resort is a little overpriced. The restaurant was excellent but again overpriced. With the numerous restaurant options in Huatulco that have excellent food at half the price it is hard to justify eating at the hotel anymore than we did. We did have a very peaceful 8 nights on excellent beds and surrounded by beauty.

The staff tried to be helpful but couldn't really understand or get us what we needed. The restaurant was slow and they would forget things we ordered. Asking for a towel at the pool was ridiculous. Several times we'd ask for one in English and Spanish and two hours later still no towels. The only real people on the ball were the very awesome and helpful cleaning staff and nice gardeners

We were supposed to arrive on Tuesday Sep 24, but Hurricane John hit Oaxaca. Our flight was cancelled and we couldn't make it. We were not able to go to Huatuclo. The day before (Monday Sep 23) we called the Hotel Quinta Real, but they said we had to cancel via Expedia. We tried via Expedia several times, but they could not reach the hotel. While I understand the hotel cancellation policy, it was completely out of our control to not be able to go. We are very disappointed that a refund was not issued. Even more because we have been before to this hotel and it is VERY nice. We used to recommend it, but will think about that in the future.

First of all the grounds are gorgeous, our room was ready, incredibly clean and the view was magical. The staff was warm and welcoming. On the second night there was a backup in our bathroom , roots were clogging the pipes.we were told we had to change rooms and it was rather late. I was really rather upset after unpacking and getting comfortable we were ready to rest for the evening. I really just wanted to enjoy my trip. The manager Claudia was very understanding and warm. She upgraded our room to the Presidental suite, which by the way is out of this world beautiful. The room wasn’t quite ready so she apologized and offered a complementary breakfast because of the hassle of not only changing rooms but having to wait for them to fix the air conditioner and clean the room. Again they kindly stepped up and we were offered a complimentary massage , which by the way was an amazing one. It isn’t just the fact that they made up for the inconvenience in the best of ways, but that Claudia did it with such sincere kindness. The main director came by at breakfast the next day and gave me a really pretty hand carved heart and apologized. Such a sweet gesture. It’s hard to find that kind of heart felt treatment nowdays and I will never forget them or the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in. Claudia went far beyond her call of duty and we will never forget her or the incredible experience of all the workers at this one of a kind hotel. Pool and beaches wow!!

This place was amazing! It is not however ADA friendly. So many stairs! We would get over 10,000 steps in just a few hours from going up and down to the pool/beach. They do have transportation available so I wouldn’t let this discourage you from staying. We stayed with our young kids (ages 6 and 7) and they also loved it! We liked that it was quiet and family friendly. Not a party scene like some of the other hotels down the beach.
