Room Roulette

We booked through hotels for our room, a superior studio king room with a living room and put in a special request for a room with a patio with lounge chairs & fire pit (we’ve stayed here before and liked the room with a patio). We received an email confirmation saying they had moved us to our requested room, only to be put into a different room upon check in with no living room or fire pit… so we asked to be put into the room we requested, but they said it was taken… even though we were told an exact room number in the email. They moved us upstairs to a unit with a view of the mountains, living room etc, but no lounge chairs or fire pit. If they hadn’t sent us an email saying we were getting the room we requested, maybe I would have been a different story but it didn’t work out for us. Also being gold member status on hotels it said we got a free bottle of bubbly upon check in but… we wound up having to ask for it, and then when we finally got the bubbly and settled into the new room, there were no champagne glasses. It was just one thing after another that unfortunately didn’t translate well for the accuracy of their booking system. To be told one thing and then get another is not what we needed on this relaxing birthday celebration in Palm Springs. Such a bummer because we have stayed here before a truly enjoyed the experience.

Fabulous Hotel

I love The Twist and it was my second stay here while visiting PS. I got the Presidential Suite this time and loved the size and beautiful wrap around deck - great views of city and mountains too! Well appointed suite with all you need and such fab decor! Very clean and comfy! Enjoyed the pool as well and the welcome margarita! All the staff was fabulous! My one complaint was I had asked for an early check in, which I know can’t be guaranteed- they allowed us pool area access which was great - but our room wasn’t ready until after 4pm ( 3pm is check in) … I feel when paying extra for the upgrade of one of the best rooms, priority should be given to having that room clean and ready at the least by standard check in time, if not a little bit before. They did let us checkout at noon which was nice, but the after 4 check in was a disappointment.

If you want an MCM vibe this is it! So cute, beautiful pool, great staff, great parking and close to everything. I walked everywhere, felt very safe as well. Will make this my go-to lodging whenever I'm in Palm Springs.

Located in a very quiet and convenient, and walkable distance to all the main restaurants and shops. There is a fabulous coffee shop on the corner for a quick morning fill-up or spot to relax. What really stood out was that the staff was easy to communicate with and get a hold of. My online registration had a minor issue and they took care of it in the office. They were also available for my later check-in. When I realized I had left some belongings behind the following day after checking out, they went looking for them and then coordinated sending it back to me! I found their service amazing and would definitely come back again.

Property was great. Only issue I had was the water pressure and the temperature of the water in the shower. Very weak and not very hot either but the place was spacious and clean and I loved the decor and the bed was amazing!
