We were there for a volleyball tournament with many other leagues staying at the same hotel, during a winter storm. Overall, the stay was great. Front desk was very friendly. The room was spacious, giving the feeling of a separate living room from the bedroom with a half wall in between (it was nice to sit on the sofa or large desk/table and eat or watch a movie together as opposed to sitting on the bed). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. The only issue we had was our toilet overflowing a couple of times and it took quite a bit of time for someone to come and deal with it but once someone came, they took care of the issue and cleaned the bathroom (call the front desk instead of speaking to housekeeping for immediate resolution, which was our mistake). I love that the hotel was in its own little plaza with some food options, such as a restaurant (I think it was a Mexican grill restaurant), pizza shop (very good), dunkin donuts, etc, all within walking distance. It was very convenient. The hotel was very busy with the tournament going and different leagues staying but everyone was nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend and book here again.

Positives: -The exterior of the building, including the landscaping, are well kept -The staff is friendly and attentive -The beds are comfortable (but bring your own pillow, these are the heavy feather type that once you sink into them stay very flat and are not comfortable in the least) -Pool and exercise room are clean -Continental breakfast is very good, make your own waffles and fresh egg frittatas are very yummy! Negatives: -Room was absolutely filthy, i.e., an area of the carpet was soaking wet and could still smell vomit that was barely cleaned up from the previousguests -Bedding had dirty smudges and hair on it (did not appear it was changed, just made up between guests) -Shabby anesthetics, i.e., peeling paint in the bathroom (and no exhaust fan!), exposed or poorly patched ceiling in vanity area, several stains on carpet which was generally in poor condition, dings in the walls, unclean or un-vacuumed carpet, etc.. -Hallways had several stains on carpets (the "bridge" was closed and it looked like a large blood stain in the middle of the walkway!) -For a Marriott, this had the vibe of a dingy cheap motel room in a rundown area, extremely disappointed and disgusted, can not in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone

Nice place to stay if you are going to a concert at the Bull Run in Shirley (9 minute drive). Nice facility and rooms were spacious. Only problem was at check in. I had reserved four rooms and the first guest that arrived received the wrong room - so when I showed up there wasn't a room with my name on it. After doing a pre check in I expected a quick stop at the front desk that took 10 minutes to resolve. Still not sure if the billing all worked out correctly.

The bed was comfortable and clean. The furniture was old and stained carpeting was old. Needs a cleanup and update. The bathroom sink did not drain well . The breakfast was not something we wanted to eat. Beige sausage (tasted processed) and a large one lump of srampled eggs. Even the yogurt tasted like saccharin . Not the Marriot's usual quality. Comfy bed
