The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Super convenient to the ferry
That said, the room smelled terribly of chlorine and kept the smell for the full three days. There was major construction going on and no warming was given ahead of time, resulting in the elevator being out and the main entry being a construction zone. It should be noted that the "ocean view" rooms look out over a heavily lit basketball court and the main ferry dock.

Solid stay
Room was new, clean and spacious. Hotel under construction so the elevator was not working and we were on floor 5. Not great.
The roof deck on the 5th floor was also under construction so there was a lot of construction noise. The tv allowed for streaming subscription channels but the wifi wasn’t robust enough to maintain the signal.
The location is great and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Housekeeping service was very slow usually around 3-4pm.
Elevator construction made it noisy dusty during day.

Clean and comfortable in the heart of the island
Very nice “first world” business style hotel in the heart of Caye Caulker. Upper rooms on ocean side have a nice view of the water. Feet from the water taxi to/from
Belize City and located within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Bring your own conditioner. They are in construction at the moment but hopefully that will resolve soon. No local flavor and a little sterile, but overall a nice stay.

Nice stay!
The Caye Hotel was quite new, so everything was clean and in great condition. Beds and bedding were very comfortable - not easy to find in Belize! Great lighting in the room and bathroom - also something not always found in Belize. We enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop.
The only negative was that even on the 5th floor, we could still hear dogs barking at night - and that is with the windows shut and the AC on.

This hotel has a lot of promise but I can’t recommend at this time. The staff are so lovely and the rooms are large and well appointed. Some have balconies with views of the water and are great for people and bat watching at night. There is heavy duty construction at this time - think jack hammering from 8am to 5pm. I’m guessing it will be loud for months and this is the biggest detractor. They are putting in a small roof top pool and an elevator. Hot water is non-existent in the morning. The location is amazing if you can tolerate a little noise. It’s right across front street from the water taxi but also a basketball court where youth play into the evening. Street food vendors show up in the evening and serve yummy food. La Cubana is right across the street and has great food and drinks. There are balconies with a view of the water and it’s great for people watching. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Our phone didn’t work and we had one closet rack broken and the robe we were provided (just one) didn’t have a tie. You can ask for a kettle for hot water and there is an extra mini fridge and safe in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a great place that needs some improvements which they are working on.

No elevator, as other reviews shared. When reaching out to the hotel, no response from email or through Expedia.
The check-in process could have been smoother as they made it seem like they weren’t expecting us. They appeared as if they were all knew as they had to ask whenever we asked a question. Additionally, upon checking in, they kept mentioning and adding on comments about fees and another fee and another fee, and a security deposit, separate than what was online.

Attentive & polite staff. Great location steps away from water taxi. Nice room views. There was construction happening at the hotel that had not been previously advertised. This made for added noise & chaos. While there was daily room cleaning, the fresh towels had so many stains on them they almost didn’t feel clean. Though guests can access the rooftop, the bar there isn’t open & the area just looks like a dirty mess.

Contrast of Island with Modern Comfort
The Caye Hotel provided all that was needed for an expected stay on an island. They were accommodating and had the facilities to ensure all 10 of us (including 2 young kids) were well taken care of. Word of the wise though... If you have elderly or young ones, please get the first floor or 2nd at most. Those stairs are quite a trek. Showers were large. Front was awesome. AC worked brilliantly.

Loved our stay! The hotel is the perfect location. It is across the road from the water taxi which is great after a long day of travel. The rooftop provides a wonderful view of the island. They provide breakfast coupons to Namaste and Amore Cafe, both excellent options for breakfast. I loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay again!

Very satisfied!
I enjoyed my stay here with my girlfriend. They were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean and convenient to everything. The only complaints I had were no microwave in the room, no tv service unless you used your own code, and no working elevators but after checking out several other hotels in the area they had no working elevators either, but they did help me out by putting me on the 2nd floor. I'm a little older and those steps are killer. But I am planning a trip back in Sept. and probably will stay here.

located across from ferry port, nice rooms, nice roof top. Included breakfast is a belizean $15 voucher to 2 locations near by. Front desk personnel not friendly, do not take time to explain the voucher system at the time of checkin, mainly interested in collecting the "tax".

Poor customer service; which create inconvenience to the guest. Hotel provide the breakfast through a third party; although it supposed to be complementary you still need to pay a service fee, without any notice from the hotel.
If you use an AMEX credit card, be aware at the hotel, the personnel will ask you for another method of payment since the hotel doesn't accept nothing different than Visa, Master Card or cash.
