8/10 Very good

Historic and quaint, but comfortable and cozy.

Im a sucker for historic buildings and the Fallon is just that. Its not for everyone. The building is under renovation and i hope to see more good things from the owners. Its a 1850 build and a historic marker, which means i expected rugged walls and old wood floors. My bedding was clean and probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds Ive ever slept on. The room was basic, bed, chair and foot stool, dresser, and tv. Bathroom has the old victorian vibe, however may be challenging for elderly to get into the shower as it was a knee high metal tub with a suspended shower curtain and no hand rails. The front desk crew, who I assumed were the owners, were extremely friendly, welcoming, and respected privacy. The building is in a great location, a few blocks away from many local taverns and eateries. The Fallon itself has attached night life which may make your stay alittle louder if they have entertainment. But I enjoyed the added fun. Overall a great historical find in Lock Haven. I wish best of luck to the owners in their renovation endeavors.

Expedia overbooked the room. The hotel called me 3 days before i was to check in to tell me. There were no other rooms available in the area. This was a great inconvenience to me.

I liked the historic nature of the building even though it was old and needed more remodeling work in a way that maintained historicity.

They put a $200 hold on my card for incidentals and there was literally nothing in the room but a TV. What could possibly necessitate the need for a $200 security deposit? Then it takes 2 days to get the hold off your card!

We booked this hotel through Hotels.com a few months prior to our stay for after a football game. 2 rooms for 1 night. We had called on our way to see if we could have early check in or at least drop our bags to be taken to the rooms when they were ready as we knew that we would not get there until late in the evening. No. They wouldn't do that. Fine. No big deal. We arrived at the Fallon and began to check in with a man at the front desk who said the hotel is his place. He then tells us that they are overbooked and it was hotels.com's fault for all of this and not his responsibility at all. If we want a refund call hotels.com. We had to scramble to find a Holiday Inn about an hour away that had availability. We are now working with hotels.com to get our money back. An email from them states "We're currently chasing The Fallon Hotel on your refund request." If you are planning on staying here we highly suggest that call to make sure that you will actually have a place to sleep. And....there is a "club" or something in this hotel that is so loud you cannot talk on your phone in the lobby. Not sure what it's like in the rooms but it has to be loud. There's a reason this place gets 5/10 stars!!

The Hotel appears to be in the midst of a renovation that appears to have suddenly halted a few years back. People are nice but rooms dirty and scary. Also, there’s a night club or something downstairs? Odd

This place is a dump. Like a flophouse from the 50’s. My room was ancient, bathroom dirty and falling apart. The hotel itself resembles a tenement. The staff is very nice though.

The photos online are a bait and switch. Slow to no service, no amenities, dirty, run down, the restaurant is a night club that that is open until 2am, it's very loud, the room is bare, Roku TV with minimal live options and the room was very uncomfortable and dirty. So disappointed.

We were put in a room that clearly was not yet renovated. Edges of walls in room dirty, bathroom mirror permanently dirty. Outlets painted over and had trouble putting my hairdryer inside. Rust on bathroom sink. The ‘shower’ was a deep old bathtub with the ‘add a shower kit’ from Amazon. It was literally chained to the ceiling to hold it up and was not stable. We were staying the night for a PSU game and really tried to just make it work for a few hours. The final straw was the smell. Musty, maybe even mold? I was in our room for about 15-20 min and I started to feel it in my sinuses. I gave it a chance and within the hour I started feeling it in my ears. Due to this, we decided to not stay the night and instead got a room down the street at the Hampton Inn. We put the key at the front desk on our way out, the man didn’t even ask questions. He knows. We later learned this hotel was condemned a few years ago and they are slowly renovating. Google it. Sadly we were put in a room that was not yet renovated after reopening. They should really have those rooms closed off. I showed 2 people the pictures and there initial response was- is that a cell?
