Good location. Surrounded by restaurants, and an easy walk to Las Arenas and Plaza de España. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms a decent size and clean, although slightly dated. The name describes the hotel well - the lobby is the nicest “chicest” part. The rooms (I’ve stayed in two different single room styles) are basic, but clean, well appointed bathrooms, clean comfy beds. I highly recommend asking for a street view (vs internal courtyard view).

Clean and basic room. Comfy bed but while staying for my second visit, had an interior room that was tiny, hot and had no coffee maker or fridge. The staff was lovely - very accommodating to me, opening the coffee bar at 4:00am so I could get coffee before my flight. We also went up to the Solarium on the roof which was interesting - cute, good view!

Good location. Basic room but clean and suitable if you don’t plan to spend much time in your small room. Nice sun deck. The hotel website said breakfast buffet was available until 11:30 but when we got there about 10:55, they said it was closing at 11.

We were looking for a cruise near the cruise port to make our cruise experience easier. This hotel was excellent. The location was very quiet with walkable streets. Not far from the train station. The room and bathroom are both spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The free minibar drinks are a big bonus. The rooftop area offers a nice view and is a great place to relax. There’s also free coffee and tea in the lounge area after breakfast time.

It was nice to stay at the Chic and basic velvet hotel, staff is very friendly, kitchen area has a lot of options and the hotel is in a very nice area. Only gap that’s why I gave 4 stars is the air conditioning in my room, it was an old and outdated system and there was no extraction fan in the bathroom. All the rest was great

Stayed here for a conference, was good for what I needed. The breakfast area was very nice, check-in and check-out were easy, and the front desk staff were helpful. The walls are very thin, so you can hear doors closing from anywhere. There was no key for the safe in my room and the shower head wasn't very clean. Would stay again for a conference but not for a longer vacation.

The room was quite small and the only window overlooked to the interior "courtyard" with ohter similar windows looking at you. Breakfast buffet was good. Really liked that there.was a self service coffee machine available all day, along with free filtered and chilled water to refill your bottles.

Property was clean and conveniently located. However, there was one front desk agent who was not very friendly or helpful. All other agents would greet you as you walked in our said goodbye as you left, but the older gentleman would not even look up from his computer. Very awkward and unfriendly.

This was our first time in Barcelona and the first hotel we stayed in so I can’t compare it to other hotels. It is nice though and the staffs are friendly. The only thing I don’t like but not a big deal is that I find the lighting too dark specially in the hallway. Again, it’s just me and other people may prefer that.The area is safe.
