The hotel staff were very welcoming! The meals offered and bar had excellent options, even for me when I have to eat gluten free. Hotel is a little dated but comfortable accommodations and nice size rooms and bathroom.

Ánægjuleg dvöl.
Notalegt og fallegt hótel. Fallegt útsýni yfir fjörðinn úr herberginu, rúmið mjög gott. Vinalegt starfsfólk og góður matur. Setustofan virkilega falleg og þægileg. Mér finnst vanta að láta gesti vita af því að herbergið sé á þremur pöllum og mjög hár stigi upp í hlutann sem rúmið er í. Það kom sér aðeins illa í okkar tilfelli.
Annars heilt yfir mjög ánægjuleg dvöl í rólegu og notalegu umhverfi.

Great nostalgic feel, phenomenal views and food. The breakfast and dinner was great as was the hot tubs and the staff. I highly recommend if looking to do the Gymur Fall hike.

Abgenutztes und nicht mehr zeitgemäßes Hotel weit unter angegebenen Standard. Sehr sonderbares Personal, welches eher kumpelhaft auftritt und Scherze macht die anmaßend sind. Frühstück ok, aber wenig liebevoll zubereitet. Insgesamt sehr unangenehme Atmosphäre.

Meerblick, Hot Tub im Freien und Ruhe
Das Zimmer war mit Maisonette und hatte daher eine Treppe in den Schlafbereich. Leider gab es von oben (aus dem Bett) keinen Ausblick.
Beim ausgezeichneten Frühstück waren wir alleine.
Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer (mit Meerblick) sowie die beiden Außen-Hot Tub (die wir abends alleine nutzen konnten) verzeihen jedoch das in die Jahr gekommene Gesamtbild.

Meget smukt beliggende hotel, med fantastisk udsigt til hvalfjorden, og fjeldene omkring.
Meget hyggelig indretning af såvel værelser, som fællesarealer. Dejlig loungeområde, med udsigt over fjorden.
Veltillavet og velsmagende middag og morgen.
Hyggeligt værtspar og god betjening.
Stemningen på dette smukke sted, emmer af æstetisk ro.
Hot tubs med udsigt over Hvalfjorden, kan varmt anbefales uanset vejrlig, og efter en dag i bil, på cykel eller vandrestøvler, en skøn måde at slappe af på, inden middagen🤗❤️

Second time at the Hotel Glymur for a romantic getaway. Beautiful & peaceful boutique hotel is perched on one of the largest Fjord's in Iceland. Amazing views from the main hotel, especially from the restaurant and seating area. Two wonderful hot pots overlooking the fjord at the main hotel with the larger cottages having their own hot pot. Breakfast is amazing with fresh fruits, cooked eggs, bacon, yogurts, cereals, & smoked salmon. Dinner was delicious. Hotel has a relaxed vibe and the customer service is spot on often with the staff going above and beyond. Comfy beds with cosy bedding ensure a restful night sleep. Close to Glymur falls the second tallest waterfall in Iceland.

The service was amazing. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The ONLY downside is the rooms have one large chair in the tv area and the rooms in the main lodge are three levels. The stairs to the bed (upstairs) have a metal piece that we kept hitting out feet on. Not a reason not to stay in this beautiful place but just beware.
