Lovely stay!
Stayed in a nice room with a king size bed. Was able to extend my stay by one day on the day that I was originally scheduled to depart. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Love the two house dogs that wander around the property. Will definitely return in the future!

We only stayed one night to make our trip to the airport easier. This little hotel is charming. Felt more authentic Mexican than the chain hotels. Dated but clean and comfortable. City streets were loud but didn’t keep me awake. Good little spot.

Poorly Maintained
Our room (103) was directly above the front gate, which was heavy and made a loud bang whenever people opened and closed it. The property was not well maintained, with our bathroom light flickering and the chairs in the common areas dirty. The pool had leaves in it which weren't removed. However, the two dogs on the property were friendly.

Great location. My room was a little noisy as it was next to entrance on the street side. Security was an issue for me - there is a locked gate, but no staff in the evening/overnight. Manager lives on site and has guard dogs, so that helps. Rooms were adequate. Not sure where/when the photos of the brightly colored lounge chairs in a courtyard were taken - I did not see this.

We enjoyed the quaint decor of this hotel. The in-room safe, the security door entrance and the proximity to the beach and activities make this hotel a great find. The challenges are that the faucet to the sink in the room was extremely loose, the room we stayed in was just above the security door and people coming and going would slam it frequently. Also the tv was not 40 inches, more like a 12 inch. We would recommend it for couples for a short stay but anything longer than a few days and you may want a more comfortable location.

Photos are of rooms that are in much better state of repair and cleanliness than the one we stayed in. Our blinds were broken, light fixtures were bare bulbs. Entire room smelled of sewer creeping up through shower drain. Staff are only available during a relatively narrow window and don't seem to care much about guest experience. Apple maps will send you to a location a considerable distance from the hotel.

I want to start by saying that the staff was excellent, friendly and hotel is beautiful.
What really turned my sister and I off was the lack of cleanliness of the property as a whole.
Right away we noticed that no guests were using the common areas or the pool. Upon inspection, we noticed bugs, dirt, dust and dog hair everywhere. They have 2 very friendly dogs on the property, but it is clear that they have no boundaries. Our personal rooms were clean enough, though.
Another huge bummer for us was the noise. Yes, is perfectly located in terms of getting around but the hotel and our rooms were right above a bar and a restaurant that loved to play their music horrifically loud. Really, insanely loud. My sister and I both had to buy earplugs and sleeping pills just to finally get some sleep.
Over all, I give it 3 stars 🌟
Its great for the price, it has potential and again, the staff was great.

It's a decent place for the price and very close to the beach. However, the listing isn't quite accurate: there is no bar/restaurant, no beach towels, etc. It also just needs a bit more attention to detail - the pool was constantly covered in leaves and the chairs in the courtyard need cleaning. It's also very noisy - not the hotel's fault but the surrounding bars and hotels make sitting in the courtyard a noisy experience.
