Room was much smaller than expected.
The bathroom had small mold patches.
The TV was fuzzy & missing a lot of channels and weak/no signal on others.
The bed wasnt great and could feel every move the other person made.
Not the best hotel and not the best place to stop if youâre a visitor passing through, recommend FJ or Hokitika instead.
Rooms could be cleaner and facilities desperately need a clean.
Stay was ok. We got there and were told we had to boil our water which was hard when you have nothing to put cold water into. No water bottles provided which was hard. Shower went hot and cold when using it and shower curtain is just manly. No controllable air conditioning was hard and tv had terrible reception. But bed was comfortable
Not a nice place. TV a nightmare to operate. Some ones undies left in the spa and it had a rank smell. Was meant to get a free breakfast but they didnt follow through on it. Would not reccomend.
We have stayed in 6 hotels. Ashley Hotel was the second.
With the water problem in Greymouth an excellent idea would be to provide bottled water in each room. The Elms in Christchurch did that and they did not have a water problem. The fridge was too stacked full of alcohol to be able to add any stuff of ours. The handbasin had a hair dryer burn in it which was not a good look.
