If you are on a low budget, then this hotel will tick boxes. Small room and bathroom. Can't fault the staff who were helpful, and is very good for access to the train station.

Limited breakfast

Do not get the option (pay at the hotel) because you will be asked to pay cash. Also if you store your luggage you will pay extra Cash Only. Room and people are pleasant and eager to serve you. Breakfast is limited to 1 coffee, 1 sandwich, 1 yogurt, croissant. NO REFILL.

It’s an apartment so heating wasn’t controlled by us. Late night they would start the heat but later room gets cold. Everything is very close from here. Roma termini is just cross street. We took uber mostly, and didn’t take us long to reach to major attractions.

“Hotel Mirage” - location great but thin walls..

First off this place is not called “Tiche”. No clue why it is called that on Hotels.com. Luckily we just looked at the photos and realized it’s called “Hotel Mirage”. The staff were friendly and no complaints there! The room was clean, but the walls were thin. Neighbors showed up one night at 3am very loud waking us up. At 5am you hear traffic in the city and people honking horns. The bathroom we had did not have a proper door. Just a sliding door with some gaps. You had no sense of privacy when using the bathroom. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows were very thin. Woke up with neck pain. The included breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but nice to start the day off with a nice cup of cappuccino. The mini fridge in the room was nice and the location next to the main station you can not beat!

DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 304 OR NEAR, IT HAS BED BUGS. WE GOT BITTEN. WE HAVE TO PAY TO FREEZE ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE FOR 100s OF EUROS. WE ARE FACING THE RISK THAT WE BROUGHT THESE HORRIBLE INSECTS TO OUR HOME. We have stayed at cheap places before and know in general what to expect: small breakfast, rooms in an old or outdated style. None of these things matter as long as it is clean, the bathroom works, the elevator is safe, we can excape if there is a fire, and the door an be locked. However - we got bitten by bed bugs, more through the week, as it took a while to understand that these were not mosquito bites. My friend even saw a bug crawl under the floor moulding. Now we have to freeze all out luggage for 100 of Euros, which will ruin some of our things, in order to not bring the bed bugs home. I will be nervous for at least a year until I know we did not bring bugs back home. They can live for several months without food. and their food is your blood which they suck at night......

BEWARE,the pictures look nothing like the hotel!

From not being able to find the hotel due to the name Tiche not being on the outside of the building, to the horrible room conditions/cleanliness/amenities, this experience was horrible. Upon finding bedbugs, my husband and I immediately checked out. The staff at the front desk didn't even care that we were leaving just 15 minutes after checking in.

Spartan but functional - surly service though

Pretty Spartan but convenient to stay. Solo female traveler – no issues with safety. The lift worked. Front desk manned 24 hours. I did inquire before my departure about whether a refund was possible because my job provided a room at the conference hotel. Received a message saying it wasn’t possible because stay was booked and prepaid on hotels – that query somehow canceled the entire reservation. When I arrived, they had room, but the front desk man was discombobulated and angry by the issue. Not the best welcome to Rome.

The place is old and rundown. I couldn't get comfortable in bed because you can feel the springs from the mattress. The balding clerk with the brown hair and glass argued with me when I told him I didn't know Bout their policy of leaving the key at the front desk when guest go out. It's ridiculous rule. He called me a liar and said they told me. The staff actually never informed me about leaving the key at the front desk when hoing out. Nevertheless, the desk clerk verbally harrassed me.

The breakfast was a very poor choice - I don’t recommend it. Also when i got trapped in the lift the guy who freed me blamed me for it breaking it and didn't even ask if I was okay!

Great location in the city, with easy access to everything we wanted to see, for a reasonable price. Difficult to find, as the name on the front awning of the hotel is “The Mirage,” and not “Hotel Tiche.” Also, the address is number 4, not number 6 as stated on the listing. Could find nothing on the property that matched the photos in the listing. Hotel staff were not particularly courteous or friendly, although some of the younger kids were helpful with bus and subway schedules, and recommendations for how to get to points of interest. We were challenged every time we entered and asked where we were going, no staff members seemed to recognize us or dem we that we were checked in at their hotel. Breakfast was nothing exciting, or even cooked, but it was food.
