Jan 6, 2025It was amazing! Really a chance to enjoy the Japanese countryside with amazing hosts and plenty of things to do! Everyone was lovely, helpful, and friendly, and the house was clean and quaint!

Oct 21, 2025We loved staying at Mikansei! Our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed ourselves in the shared spaces, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and communal areas. Our hosts, Claire and Shiro, were incredibly gracious, sharing their knowledge about the Oi river valley and Japan in general, as well as their time, and taking an interest in their guests. They gave us some great advice on making a our day trip up the valley on the Oigawa Railway even better, and invited us to a group dinner / cooking class with other house guests and as a friend from the village. We felt very welcome and taken care of. This is such a beautiful area to explore, and Mikansei made a perfect home base. I only wish we'd had more time there.

とても居心地のよい空間でした。
キッチンがとても使いやすくかわいかったです。夜中の我が家のおこしたトラブルにも嫌な顔ひとつせず即対応してくださってとても助かりました。かわいい猫ちゃん2匹がいます。

Jul 30, 2025スタッフの方々がとてもフレンドリーで景色もよくよかったです。夜空がとても綺麗で、夜のBBQも地域の方との触れ合いができて楽しかったです。日頃の忙しさを忘れてのんびりしたい人には快適です。お話も楽しかったです。地域の方に愛されてる宿泊施設です。
