Best bed we have ever slept in and we have travelled the world. Back door leads straight onto the lake, big thank you to the young concierge for showing us. Pool and jacuzzi in basement a great plus. This hotel will be demolished next month, in January 2026. The government used Imminent Domain to take over a section of Lakeside property to create a community area. So, it doesn't really matter what I think about this hotel. It was a good place to stay in a variety of ways, but the deal breaker for me was that they refused to give my travel partner and I two room keys. Therefore, every time we went out separately, one of us had to be escorted back to our 10th floor room. The bedroom door of the suite locked when closed and required a key to open, then would beep madly every time it opened. That's disturbing to the person sleeping in the other room. And I got locked out one time in my towel and had to call the desk for help. The shower was utterly translucent. It was supposed to be slightly fogged, but once wet, there was no privacy at all. The toilet was the usual glass walls, also. Why do we want our throne on display? The breakfast was mediocre, the dinner was just plain bad. I think the pho broth was plain water! The staff was excellent. The location was great!

We felt this hotel was falsely advertised. We paid over AUD 400 per night (supposedly at a 75% discount on Wotif), expecting a genuine 5-star experience, but it did not come close. The construction quality is poor, and the bathroom setup is both awkward and unsafe — the shower is inside a wobbly, unsecured bathtub. Breakfast was very limited, coffee wasn’t included, and the baby high chair was broken. The TV offered no English channels or smart functionality, so no Netflix or streaming, and our room overlooked construction sites and backyards, which added to the disappointment. Cleanliness was another major issue: we found a lizard in the room and a bug in our daughter’s bed. The bed was lumpy, the hotel noisy at night, and a sign asked guests not to flush toilet paper — unacceptable for a property claiming 5 stars. We left after one night of a three-night stay; while they refunded one night, they also asked us not to post a review. We moved to another hotel that was half the price and ten times better in every way. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We hadden hier voor 6 nachten geboekt, maar zijn na 2 nachten toch naar een ander hotel vertrokken. Het hotel voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen, maar dat doet niets af aan de behulpzaamheid van het personeel. Daarnaast hebben we van het hotel ook geld terug gekregen. Op Expedia stond dat er een buitenzwembad was, dit bleek een binnenzwembad te zijn. Inmiddels is dit gecorrigeerd. Maar dit is niet wat wij verwacht hadden. De schoonmaak hiervan kon beter. Daarnaast bleek de kamer toch kleiner dan we dachten, dat is onze eigen fout geweest en niet te verwijten aan het hotel. Kwaliteit van het hotel herken je aan hoe dit opgelost is: heel prettig. De locatie is perfect, dichtbij het oude centrum, zeer vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbij lt kent verschillende opties. De ontbijtruimte is wel krap. Voor ons klopte de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding eigenlijk gewoon niet goed.
