We opted for the superior room much larger and an amazing view from the 3rd floor across the rooftops of Halifax. Comfy bed, the hotel is a bit dated in areas but didn't spoil our stay for one night as we watched a music event at the Piece Hall our main reason for staying in Halifax.

Requested twin room and had a large room with a double and single bed in, bathroom large, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee facilities, kettle very clean/new. Beds comfy and clean. The room rates reflect the standard of hotel, basic but all you need for a night.

Staff friendly and informative.
Room was very clean and had a fan, tea and coffee.
Furnishings are dated but serviceable. Bed was very comfortable with soft pillows. Bit of a rabbit
warren getting to room up and down stairs. There is a lift but it's slow.
Would stay again as such a great location.

Jul 25, 2026This property has one purpose-you need one night in Halifax and you have no other options. I will say the location is good for getting to the train station. and you will want to get to the train station to escape this property. Wi-Fi was beyond terrible, which made the TV useless. My “city view” room had a lovely view of a dirty alley and because there is no A/C the alley smells waft in. Everything in this hotel is old and dated and badly in need of upkeep. Bare minimum and I mean Bare Minimum. You got me once, but never again, and I am warning you dear traveler stay away from this place! Hotels.com should have some minimum standards for listing a property so shame on you as well.
