Dec 4, 2025We missed the check in time by 2 mins, but someone answered the phone and let us in. We slept on soft beds. Had hot showers, ate a wonderful breakfast and headed on our way. It was great!

Jun 22, 2026The breakfast was amazing, and the highlights of that in there. First, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, for the entire week me and my wife got maybe two hours of sleep every night, tossing and turning due to feeling all the wood and springs underneath. They never actually cleared or clean the courtyard right in front of my room yet had parties on the weekend. The lack of staff after the 12 noon was a little ridiculous. I took this trip to go to a friend‘s wedding coming from America. The fact that there was no air-conditioning at all was a life-changing experience. As it over 75° outside all the time you would think in a hotel air-conditioned will be required.

Sep 1, 2026Exo hotel Franka Bamberg er et hotel der ikke gør mere end det lover: En god nats søvn og et godt morgenmåltid tæt på Bamberg. Hotellet ligger ca 4 km udenfor selve Bamberg i en forstad (Halstadt) hvor der sandt at sige intet sker. Der er få restauranter (hvor Fäsla Stube klart er at foretrække) men hotellet udemøbler sig ved rigtig god service og hyggelig atmosfære. Dog mangler der ordentlig aircondition på værelserne, der var kun en ventilator, som ikke kunne ret meget så vi var glade for at kunne have vinderne åbne.
Der er ikke gratis parkering på hotellet, det koster 9€ pr dag og der er, som der ellers står, ikke daglig rengøring men kun tømning af skraldespande etc. Og der er heller ikke køleskab eller inhouse kaffe på værelset men det er til at leve med.
Vigtigt ifht husdyr: De er velkomne på hotellet (mod et gebyr) men man må IKKE sidde ved morgenbuffetten - heller ikke i et tilstødende lokale med mindre man får spedicel tilladelse, så vi sad lidt være fra morgenmaden med vores hund. Lidt irriterende når man nu betaler ekstra for netop at have hund med.
Men alt i alt et Ok hotel, der gør hvad det skal og ikke mere

Frukosten var helt okej men kostade inte så mycket heller så lätt värd priset.

Nov 30, 2025Wenn man berücksichtigt, dass zur Zeit des Aufenthaltes in Bamberg alles doppelt bis dreifach so teuer war, war das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis gut. Die Lage war wie erwartet, auch mit ÖPNV schnell an alles angebunden. Unser Zimmer war auf der anderen Straßenseite in einem älteren Nebengebäude. Es war schon hellhörig, was gerade nachts störend sein kann. Dass es rustikaler war, war kein Problem, die Sauberkeit war allerdings durchaus verbesserungswürdig, worauf auch hingewiesen wurde. Die für unseren Geschmack zu weiche Matratze, das schwache WLAN und der Fernseher ohne HD Sender sehe ich als Luxusproblem, könnte aber grundsätzlich besser sein. Theoretisch war sogar eine Kochnische mit Kühlschrank vorhanden, ob man diese bei Bedarf nutzen könnte, weiß ich aber nicht.
