From the moment we booked in the staff were amazing and extremely helpful and kind.
The room was exquisite and so comfortable.
The bed was so comfortable and the shower was a dream.
We booked breakfast and were not disappointed with the quality. Magnificent.
We regularly come to Henley to stay and will only be using this hotel in the future.
If we could give more than five stars we would.
Thank you to all the staff for a great stay.

Apr 23, 2026Really nice gastro pub, high quality rooms recently done up to high standards. Very friendly, polite and correct staff. Breakfast is made to order, very good selection of dishes to high quality (very nice instead of the standar 13 in a dozen breakfast buffets your normally get.
Pub restaurant is amazing, really nice dishes, pub is lively and great atmosphere.
If you are looking for a highen country pub this is the place to go

Apr 23, 2026Great pub, handy located, great service, parking on the street close by very affordable as long as you are away with the car during the day (paid is 0800 till 20:00) so if you come in after 19:00 and leave around 0900 you pay 2 pound for the parking

Sep 21, 2026Lovely room & public areas but do not stay if they have a function on unless you are attending it.
On our 2nd night there was a birthday party in the function room - our bedroom overlooked this. The DJ was blaring out music until 00:00. Guests were outside shouting until 01:00. Staff were clearing up until 02:30. It was awful and we hadn't been forewarned there would be this cacophony otherwise we would not have stayed.
On letting them know on check out, we just got "sorry about that" - didn't really make up for only getting 3.5hrs sleep.
On a plus side, breakfast was lovely even though we were too tire to really appreciate it.

Sep 30, 2026Generally good, with beautiful decor and friendly staff. It’s a nice location with a lovely (if expensive) resturant. I appreciated the high attention to detail and luxury products for coffees, teas and toiletries.
The room has a window you cannot open because of the blind placement, and the aircon seems constantly on without doing much. I think this could be changed so you can open the window.

Aug 23, 2026The Family Room was beautifully decorated and very clean. There were separate bedrooms so really it was like a suite. The Bathroom is beautiful with a roll top Bath and very large Shower Enclosure with very powerful Shower. The Pub itself is lovely. The staff were very helpful. The Bull is very central to everything and the river so great for dog walking. The fans in the room were not working properly so a bit hot but we brought our own small tower fans. Overall Excellent.

Oct 20, 2026Poor check in, told I was early and had to pay £50 for early checkin! Never heard that on check in anywhere. I’ve also stayed multiple times. Normally the gents checking in at every friendly, the lady today was not.
Also seemed like there was a meeting going on for 2 people in the entire restaurant, therefore I was not allowed to go in!
Surely clients come first? Looked like the manager and her boss. The vibe in the bar felt very cold and service was not attentive!

Jul 13, 2026New hotel - nice, clean, newly and tastefully decorated, great location in the middle of Henley-on-Thames, not far from the river. Good breakfast and dinner. Very nice external seating area with retractable roof and TVs to watch sport (world cup was on). Other good restaurants, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s Local nearby. Still need to fix some teething problems - coffee pods and machine provided weren’t matched, no air conditioning in the room (we stayed during a heat wave - electric fan kindly provided was not very powerful), service at breakfast slow (but the breakfast was great).
