It felt like this was a nice hotel 20 or so years ago. When you arrive, you’re greeted by two vending machines (one was empty) and a bar (disused). The staff were friendly, and the bedding was clean. But the rooms? Wall lamps that had unpainted and unsanded plaster behind each one. A free-standing floor lamp that was just a bulb and a stick, the shade long gone. Where the mirror should have been (by the dresser) there were just two metal hooks, and the mirror itself was loose on another table. The toilet had a big wooden box behind it that was clearly water-damaged over many years, but rather than fix it, there was some vinyl flooring (!) attached to the back of the cistern to try and cover it up, except that was just flapping, loose. And the “sea view” room? No sea view, just a garden with some broken beds in it.
If you just need somewhere to sleep, then it’s fine, but if you want a room to relax in, there are plenty of better options.
