Sep 9, 2026The Old Clark Inn was excellent, Rooms are clean and the staff was very friendly. Caley and Rob, the In-keepers were awesome as they made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, The Inn has a lot of history as it was always an inn, which my wife and I loved. I recommend the Old Clark Inn and will stay again if we ever get a chance to go back to Marlinton WV to bike the Greenbriar Trail or even Snowshoe just up the road. Everything was awesome. Oct 2, 2026This charming 100+ year old inn has so much to offer the traveler: An inviting front porch, rear deck, and comfy parlor for hanging out, antique furnished bedrooms with modern private baths, fast wi-fi, and an included extensive continental breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the towels fluffy. Every area of the inn is extremely well maintained and clean. Conveniently located in a walkable area close to shops and restaurants. The photos on their listing are 100% current and accurate.
Surrounded by the West Virginia mountains, and a block from the Greenbrier River Trail, it was perfect for these e-bike enthusiasts. The inn is set up to meet the special needs of all types of bikers by offering covered parking for motorcycles and a covered, secured area for bicycles that can accommodate e-bike charging.
The innkeepers are great. They do not live on site but have things very well organized and labeled so it was easy to find what you might need.

Aug 27, 2026Never did meet with any staff. The location was across from a commercial business and next to a run-down residence. The property itself was kept up nicely and they had a backyard area with umbrellas, along with a bike locker to cater to hose traveling the Greenbrier Trail, which was in close proximity to the property. Breakfast consisted of all self-serve items of which they offered a nice variety. Living room was a good place to relax indoors. Email communications went well and there were no problems accessing the building and room. The Mountain Tavern/restaurant was one block away and provided ample pub/restaurant options. Thee beer draft apparatus was quite interesting. Would recommend the Old Clark Inn if traveling through Marlington, especially if the town's opera house was hosting an event.
