The location of this hotel is nice for divers since many spots are very close from the beach. The swimming pool is also great. However prices are expensive for what you get, no hot water in the room, power failures...

Our stay at coco beach had been really memorable. The room is great, there was really effort with the concept of the room. I loved the hammock and the realxing view at the balcony. Their facilities are awesome too, I enjoyed the jacuzzi at silent pool, hanging bridge, main pool. The drinks and food by the pool were so convenient. Food is good. Staff are friendly , accomodating and know customer service. Overall, i loved it!

We had a really lovely time during our stay. The staff were superb. It's a really nice setting, the hotel support eco friendly materials and it's a nice getaway from it all, surrounded by the sea and coconut trees. The only feedback that I have is that it would be nice if they can inform guests that the toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided, although these are available for sale in the hotel's shop, it would be nice to know in advance.

Location was great, pool area and main building in good order, and staff great. Resort let down by small details, like bad wifi, no hot water, and broken/old fixtures in rooms. Staff tried to make up for lack of hot water, but it was poor form to act as if it was the first they had heard of the problem, when every room in a 15+ block had the problem, and those that we talked to had also complained.

very nice for relaxing, good for family with children. if you want more activities, need to pay for boat to going another island or locations. there are 4 restaurants and i tried 3 of them. some are okay but one of them is not so nice, less menus, lack of availability and lack of knowledge of waiter. however, this hotel is one of my best resort in last 5 years.

Nice place to unwind outside the city
Coco beach is somewhat isolated so prepare to burn some money if you don't want to go out and hire a banca. It was okay for an R&R, we stayed the heritage room and was greeted by a service mama. She was very nice and I like how the family cleans the house while we're away swimming or heading out to snorkel on some neighboring island. The food, overall was good (filipino dishes) but the international cuisines...well, at least they tried but it was okay... some tasted like the ones you buy from a local chinese take-out place. Our family is kinda laid back (just want to chill in private) so the resort is good for us. If you're on the adventurous kind you should go to White beach instead, there's plenty of water activities there.

Bad service and not 4 stars
This hotel should not have 4 stars, we booked a room with Hot water and Aircon, hot water was not working, the food at the hotel is not good and the service was not great either. We experienced on our transfer to Manila that we did not get the trip we paid for - boat directly to Batangas and van directly to Manila. We ended up with 2 boats and one detour of 1 hour as they had a drop off of one of the owners in the van. Not great when the car trip already is quite long with small children etc. we then complained and asked them to drive us to our hotel in Manila in order to save time and as there was no other guests in the car but they would to agree to this and instead we where dropped 2 km. away on the street with 4 x luggage and 2 small children to find our own taxi. not impressed and will never go back again.

Superb view of the water while lying on a hammock
Coco beach is ideal for a relaxed, quiet and slow paced holiday, away from the noisy or sometimes rowdy crowd of tourists. The rustic ambience gives every guest an authentic feel of the old Filipino community in a resort setting. The unique "service family" concept also gives everyone, whether foreign or local, a taste of Pinoy hospitality. For a quick but good snorkelling, one can easily access the reef with the floating wharf. Lots of free activities in the morning keep the kids busy and enjoying. The Trattoria resto needs to improve its service, staff efficiency and food quality though i had no problems with the other restaurants. Water in the faucet and showers need extra treatment. Overall, It was an excellent 4 days.

Disappointed
There was nothing that indicated I needed to hire a banka boat to get from Sabang seaport in order to get to Coco Beach Resort. Upon arrival I was greated by the loud sound of construction and stench of rotten mud that was been carted in by wheelbarrow. The property was heavily undergoing renovations. An upside was that the Staff was very friendly and nice. The room was less than desirable. Bed was dirty and pillows smelled of mildew/mold. Bath towels smells of mildew/mold. The bed included a mosquito next, but the net had a large pile of dead termites. The room had one small floor fan bolted to the wall but hardly cooled off the hot room. Both of the restaurants were closed during my stay, one due to renovations and the other due to it being low season I guess. The bar was supposed to be open late, but closed at around 8pm. Very disappointing stay. Will not return to Coco Beach.

It was very uncomfortable because of steep steps we had climb going to our room. The huts looked ethnic but the bathroom was very small with limited toiletries, the door often gets stuck, and the locks to safety deposit box wasn't working. The view of the water was spectacular though. There was construction going on in the front part of the property. The pool could use a little repair and maybe more water.

Lovely resort on the beach
This resort is in a beautiful location on the beach and hillside behind. It uses natural pieces for construction and is done in a lovely local Filipino style. Very clean and comfortable, with amenities such as excellent restaurant, sparkling pool, scuba diving or snorkeling. Highly recommended for friends and family.

Challenge for Cocobeach to the best
Really needs improvement on the following areas: Cleanliness of the room: Ceiling and electric fans were a little bit dusty. Quality of Service: Frequently need to ask staff for something that is basically provided by the resort (toiletries, floor mat). Hotel Amenities: Life jackets were few, old and some even damaged already. Wifi is very limited within certain areas in the resort. TV set only provided to rooms with AC.
