Ok place to stay

Cute place to spend a couple nights if you have children. Could do a better job on the decorations and area cleanliness. Very limited dining options and since you are stuck in the area you cant venture out unless you get a service. Numerous shops everywhere ready to sell you trinkets. Rooms are basic but comfortable. I would say its a ok place to stay as long as you know its a tourist trap with basic accommodations and not really holiday/winter themed decorations.

Don't Have to Leave the Resort!

Absolutely MAGICAL and charming place to stay! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and helpful! There are several things to do in the area and all of them are walking distance from the resort. We had so much fun with our littles, but there were children of ALL ages.

Lovely place

Booked a classic cottage for myself and 7yr old. Very clean and comfortable. Sauna was great for drying wet clothes. Underheated floor in bathroom. Beds comfy. Kitchenette handy. I'd swap the coffee machine for a toaster though. Eateries nearby are very expensive. Breakfast was ok but no baked beans or hash browns. Not much choice for vegetarians. Excellent xmas activities for kids like santa, mrs claus, skidoos. But the kids' favourite thing was the 'accidentally made' ice slide near the arctic circle playground. Great fun and totally free.

New year treat 2025

The accommodation - in this case a superior cabin - was excellent. Very clean comfortable and warm. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable and the private sauna was a lovely addition and very welcome after being out in very cold weather all day. The kitchenette was useful but would have benefitted from an oven as two small hobs and a microwave limits self-catering options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful We knew Finland is an expensive country before booking but we weren't prepared for just how the tourism industry in Lapland takes unfair advantage of its mostly captive market. Apart from husky safaris, it isn't necessary to pre-book excursions and experiences and you can often walk up and book either for same or next day. NB. Avoid booking experiences with "Lapland Welcome". We had a very bad experience as did others we met.

Fantastic Stay in Santa Claus Village!

We had an amazing time staying in this exceptionally clean and tidy lodge in Santa Claus Village. The house was beautifully maintained, well-equipped with everything we needed, and included the added luxury of a sauna – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal, right in the heart of the village, making it easy to experience all the magic Santa Claus Village has to offer. This is an excellent destination for families, especially those with kids. The attractions and festive atmosphere create unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this rental and the overall experience!

I think the high point of this destination is the location because you’re actually very close to the Santa Claus village. It also had a lovely breakfast bread and plenty of dining options within the Santa Claus village as well as around it in in the shopping centre. It is also extremely well connected and easy to access by multiple modes of transportation. Especially love the room we were in their standard cottage, which also had a sauna inside the room which meant we didn’t have to share a sauna with other people and we had our own private one. It is usually well decorated and maintained. My only issue was that the cleanliness could have been better in our room. The utensils provided with the room were completely not usable, especially the pans. When I called the reception to request them for another pan, they said that it would take more than an hour. I also offered to pick up the pan from the reception but the lady told me that she’s the only one at reception and does not have any substitutes. The next morning we were checking out and noticed that a new pan had been provided that morning but was of no use as we were checking out.
