The resort needs a refresh and update . The pool is closed the grounds are not that well kept. The tennis courts had weeds growing on the courts. The room was clean but very dated and had an extremely noisy air conditioning unit. But the most problematic was the request for a credit card incase of damages incurred to the room which was fine except they charged my credit card . When I enquired as to why my credit card was charged the hotel management said this was standard and I will see a credit in the few days . It had been two days and I am still waiting . I have never experienced a hotel charging my credit card ahead of time. Its customary to have it as a hold / safe guard against damages. I am still waiting for my credit . This not acceptable and I will not be staying at this property again .

Beautiful stay
The room was quite beautiful and the location was gorgeous. The beach was small but lovely. The only complaint would be the onsite restaurant. The wait to be noticed at the entrance was exceedingly long. We waited for 10 minutes before leaving. We tried again, this time with a reservation and only waited 5 minutes until someone noticed we were there. We were shown to our table and then forgotten about. Another couple got tired of waiting so went to the bar to order their drinks. We were told the restaurant was busy that night (looked half-full) due to two parties. I would have rather they closed "for a special event" instead of having us waste time there. Went back to our room to order food to discover nobody delivered to the resort. Also, if i had one wish it would be the resort had a breakfast available every day so we would not have to drive into town. (Not a complaint, just a wish).

Nice stay !
Our room was comfortable and clean. Did not try the indoor jacuzzi!! The resort beach was clean and the site restaurant was good. Quiet room except for the frogs from the pond outside....! But great to have nature nearby and so close to Sandbanks park.

Huge potential
This is our 3rd time visiting Sandbanks in the last 6 years and this was our favorite location so far. First the things we loved. The location of the resort is amazing. Close to Outlet beach and less than 10 minutes from Picton. We loved the private beach....reason enough to stay here. Beds were super comfortable. No complaints there. And the staff were very friendly. Housekeeping was great too....made up our room everyday. The things we didn't like so much. No pool. That would have made the stay 100%. The rooms need updating but not a deal breaker. The grounds also need some updating (tennis courts and basketball courts) could use some TLC. We were told new owners are coming on....so we're hoping they will address these issues because this place has HUGE potential. Overall, we had a lovely time and would stay there again
