Hotel Belley is a unique property that works with Hotel Le Saint Paul. The check in is at Saint Paul and the front desk staff was very friendly and held my luggage after check out so that I could explore Quebec City with no worries. Check in and check out was very easy. The room itself was clean and simple and was perfect for a quick overnight. The bar downstairs was very nice and lively. It was a little noisy in my room after I went to bed but earplugs did the trick. It was very close to the train station and port which also fit in perfectly for my trip. For budget conscious people, it is a perfect place to stay for your trip to Quebec City.

Confusing process to check in because our train was late and we didn’t get there until after 11pm; be well prepared if you think you’ll be late. Once the front desk person arrived he was super helpful. All front desk staff that we dealt with at Hotel St Paul were very good and super helpful. Hotel is very close to the train station which was great. Be prepared for steep stairs. Rooms were clean and mine was more updated than my friend’s room.

We were supposed to get our room cards at a neighbouring hotel, got there, all the doors were locked. Called the number on the window, a gentleman gave us a code to get in to see if the cards were there. They weren’t. Then he guided us across the street to our hotel, gave us another code to get in, finally found our cards. All the while the streets were chaos on a Friday night. One vehicle had its passenger side window smashed out. No idea where we could park our car. Let alone our room was directly above the bar. Little to no sleep was to be had. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The rest, was a complete nightmare. Having no front desk staff is not helpful, especially when the backup hotel is closed as well!! We had booked two nights, but left after our first night. Messaged the hotel twice…. No response

This was a great hotel and in a perfect location. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to the train station, and also near the quaint streets and boardwalk close to Chateau Frontenac. I love this hotel, mainly, for its location: it's close to almost all the main amenities in the old city, including restaurants and bars. In addition, there is a parking place right in front and a gas station, so it's very convenient. Finally, it has a great bar on the first floor, perfect for the first and the last drink.
