Reno needed
The room we had was not renovated and was very old and tattered. The nice reception lady showed us a renovated suite which was beautiful. Parking is not good.

Shabby and Disappointing
The Holiday Chalet was a disappointment. Upon entering the building, it wasn't clear that the hotel even had a lobby. I was able to find someone who could tell me where my room was. I expected I would be staying in a room that somewhat resembled the pictures on their site. Unfortunately, I was given a room in the "attic" of the hotel that was small, ugly, and smelly. Clearly, a guest who smoked had recently occupied the room. The bathroom was difficult to enter due the attic ceiling configuration. The door connecting to the adjacent room was paper thin and might as well not have even been their. The neighborhood was noisy and the modern windows did not help keep that noise out. I would describe the Chalet as more of a hostel than a hotel.

Clean and cozy vintage room
This place was a pleasant surprise. It clearly is older but the room was renovated and has all the charm and glamour of its heyday. It has a vintage feel, but is comfortable and snazzy and even updated with a smart speaker.

The radiator made a hell of a lot of noise all through the night. There was traffic but it wasn’t so bad after 12 and the people outside weren’t as noise after 1:00

Unique!
Arrived late, but the manager was available by phone to walk me through the entry codes. Very interesting unique property, gorgeously decorated for Christmas. Very accommodating to my needs and willing to store my luggage during the day. Conveniently close to bus stops, but located right on Colfax which is a busy and noisy road.

Interesting place
From the online pictures, I expected a cute Victorian interior and saw none of that. It was ok, but we were on the 3rd floor and had to carry our luggage up those 3 flights of stairs - didn't know that would be the case. I rarely saw any staff except when we first checked in. Coffee maker didn't work properly and they gave us a replacement, but we had used most of the coffee and didn't realize that we had to go get additional coffee down the hall. I also didn't realize that beds wouldn't be made each day - not a biggie, but it was a surprise. As others have mentioned, it is a bit of a sketchy part of town, quite a few homeless milling about, but we navigated it well. As the hotel does not offer breakfast, we were happy to find a 24-hour diner a little more than a block away. I'm not sure we would stay there again, if we did, we would request a room on a lower level. Also, we requested a king bed, and I have to say, if it was a king bed, it was a small king bed.

Was an adorable beautiful room. Loved the bathroom! The mattress was falling in but was a great night sleep. Perhaps leave cream and sugar for coffee in the morning too. A wonderful stay and I will most definitely come back my next trip to Denver
