Nina was the best. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice quiet environment. Surrounding area looks a bit sketchy at night but just take normal precaution. No towel, you have to pay extra seemed not good. I would recommend.

This hostel was perfect for our family's needs. They let us book a whole room for ourselves since we had 6 people. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend for any travelers. Don't be fooled by the outside neighborhood. It was safe and we walked just fine to and from the metro and train station with our children.

Excellent and helpful staff. Needs a real kitchen. Limiting food on premises to only what can be bought at the hostel is a huge mistake. Not many good restaurants in the immediate area. Pre-packaged breakfast served on a tray with no choice allowed is dreadful and way overpriced at Euro 8. Would only recommend this hostel if you need to be near the train station.

the evenings with extra music
What, in my opinion (matter of taste), is that during the evening / nights they play really loud "stupid" eurotechno pop. So you don't really want to hang out in the lobby/foyer, or in the bar either. It would be okay if they kept the music in the bar, but now it's all over place. But it's my opinion and a matter of taste. Otherwise, it's really a nice and friendly place. Will most likely choose it again when I come to Rome

The location is great for walking to all the tourist areas and is right next to the train station, but I don't think this is a 4 star hotel as Google maps indicates. It is a very pricey hostel with shady surroundings. No amenities are provided and need to pay extra for even towels.

Lovely and safe hostel. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm and felt so comfortable and safe. The room was so clean and the area was very quiet. The hostel is close to the metro and train station so was convenient to get around Rome. There were also luggage lockers which were very affordable if you want to leave your bag there after checkout. The only downsides were the lack of self catering facilities and the rooftop was only open for breakfast and then 6pm-midnight.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Location close to Termini and Ancient Sites was great.
It was a shame that there was no access to the roof terrace between 10:00 and 18:00 and the bar was shut.
Single room was adequate,bathroom good and bed comfortable.The lack of a fridge was a real shame.
Probably wouldn’t go back.

Sillly rules about eating and drinking in the room. Food available looked poor, We ate outside during the holiday.
The area looked run down with lots of grafitti and litter.
If you are prepared to walk about 1 to 2 kilometres there were many good restaurants,

Overpriced
We stayed 3 nights in a twin. It was essentially a hotel room, big and spacious with private bathroom. No problem with noise and very close to the train station.
However, no breakfast included, no kitchen and the washing machines are 4 euro per wash or dry, expensive.
I wouldn’t stay again as I think it’s very overpriced, I’d just stay in a regular hotel.

Good staff, bad sleep
The hostel itself was nice and the staff were really friendly. The rooftop bar is a nice addition and a good place to go in the evenings.
The room was where I had my issues.
The air conditioning didn’t appear to be working, and when I asked it turned out the air con doesn’t get switched on at all in the evenings until the end of May. Given the heat at this time of year, I thought this was ridiculous. This resulted in people in my room opening the windows, which meant I could hear every loud banging noise that people in vans and trucks were making in the street below (this would happen all night).
The heat and the noise resulted in 3 pretty terrible sleeps. One small pillow was also not really enough comfort-wise.

They were building or fixing something next to my room and it was a little difficult to sleep with the noise. There were some problems with the shower and the lamp on my bed didn't work but there was an extra wireless bulb in case it was needed. Everyone was very friendly and it was easy to get there from the Termini station.

We booked a room with a king-sizes bed as that was how it was advertised, but really it was two single beds pushed together. Also to add, the rooftop bar was not open, we asked staff members and they said it was due to the weather but it was 26-28 degrees at the time. Location is fairly good, approx 15-20 min walk from Colosseum and a fairly close distance to the bus to airport.

Checking in and out was a breeze. The staff is amazing- always ready to help with a friendly demeanor. The staff I’d encountered (consisting of many front desk reps and rooftop bartender), were all personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful with every question/issue I had. My room- was in a twin deluxe- was cute and IMMACULATE, the AC was pumping (I was able to adjust the temperature), and bed was comfy. Decor was cute and artsy. In all, Generator Rome for the place and staff - gets at A++!
The neighborhood- as you would be in any foreign city, keep your eyes open. You’re in the heart of Rome and whenever you’re in any “heart” of a major city, you will notice an evident urban “edge”- Rome is no different. The first couple of nights I took cabs everywhere, and then soon realized it was like NYC (where I grew up in)- and people keep to themselves as long as you do. Keeping my eyes open and being aware, I used public transportation everywhere from that point on- even on those late nights out. In the end, if I had to compare, if I were a newbie city traveler, I’d beg to say that the heart of Rome had a safer feeling than NYC.
A tip for US travelers - bring an adaptor if you want to use a USB, lightening port, or “regular” US electrical plug; their sockets are European ones. The hostel sells them but do bring one if you have.
