Clean and serene with beautiful views.
This was our second stay at Black Beach Suites—we had such a good experience previously that we booked it again when we came back to Vik. Beautiful view of the beach, a small kitchenette with a dishwasher, and close to Reynisfjara as well as Vik. Large bathroom and shower (wear sandals if you can, as the floor floods by design and is a fall hazard). We ate breakfast at The Barn, which had good coffee, a small selection of juices, and simple pastries. The property is very quiet.

The hotel was beautiful, the only reason I am not rating it as excellent is because our room was extremely hot. I would guess above 80 degrees, we had to turn the heat off completely and sleep with the patio door and all of the windows open in attempt to cool it down.

From what I can tell, this is the best place to stay near Vik. Beautiful view, well-appointed, quiet. We had everything we needed and were super comfortable in our family room. The breakfast scene in the barn was disappointing (bad coffee and pastries), but if you get food from the market in Vik you have everything you need in the room to prepare your own meals. Highly recommend and I will def book there again when we go to gorgeous Iceland again!

Dont hesitate to book this place!
Spotlessly clean and stylish cabin with an awesome view. It was just perfect. Had everything you needed. Even free access to netflix on the huge smart tv. It had a lovely walk in shower with heated floor too...so divine and I wish I could have stayed there longer! There is parking allocated directly outside the suites and up at the Barn you can grab a bite to eat (they sell chicken tenders, pizza etc). It's a limited menu but done well.

Highly recommended
Excellent location next to the Black Sand Beaches. Quiet area and we caught auroras 2 nights in a row. Convenient 7 min drive to Vik town. Room is huge with comprehensive amenities and is well designed, cosy, clean and well maintained.

Cozy Family Stay
We stayed in the deluxe suite and it was very comfortable! The bed was nice, and the room was very spacious. It had all the amenities we needed, and the room temperature was great. The tv has streaming services available, which was perfect for our family. And the view is incredible! We loved our stay, and were very happy with our choice. The town of Vik is lovely as well!

This was the most spacious property we stayed at. The room was very comfortable and luxurious. We stayed in the King Suite. Parking was easy and the view of the beach from the room was gorgeous. We even lucked out and saw the Aurora outside our window. The only thing we didn’t live about the room was the dim lighting. It was definitely “mood” lighting, but we ran I to that at several properties in Iceland. We ended up not making use of the kitchenette, but if we had had more time to cook it would have been perfect. This was also one of the few properties that had a fridge. It was within close driving distance to Vik and is very close to the famous black sand beach.

Black Beach Stay
Our experience here was quite nice. It was cold and a little foggy, but when the skies opened up the views were quite magnificent. I highly recommend just going to the Bonus Store or some other grocery store to cook as their kitchen facilities were quite nice. They make good cocktails, but the prices for food were a little high, so again, great for cooking in your own room. Also has electric chargers if you are driving an electric vehicle.
