We chose Pura Vista to enjoy the natural scenery and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The image of the pool overlooking this truly captures the essence of our stay. We woke to the sound of howling monkeys and enjoyed beautiful watching blue jays flying about. Our room with the private pool was very comfortable and clean and we had good rest, energizing us for the next day. Mark the owner and his staff were very gracious and went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable, helped us find transportation and local restaurant recommendations. Mark proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and sea ecology which I found remarkable. Last but not least, we fell in love with the resident cat, Cosmo, who checked in on us daily to be sure we were having a lovely vacation. Thank you Pura Vista owners and staff, from Cindra & Joe.

When we arrived there was a hiccup at airport / rental car. I was very concerned but called Thisbee. She calmed me, explained options, and was a trusted colleague. The owners went well above their “jobs” to assure our stay was perfect, and it was.

Staying at Pura Vista Hotel was such an incredible experience. It is a very cozy hotel that has mesmerizing views and romantic atmosphere. It is very clean and set up comfortably. The view is amazing, even better than the pictures. Everything is spotlessly clean and it's a very quiet neighborhood. The owners are very caring and very, very helpful with everything and anything. Most days we just lazed around by the pool and still slept for 10 hours each night.

OWNER reneged on hotels.com booking details
I booked this with Hotels.com and free breakfast was included in the booking. After checking in, the owner confused my booking with another, I had to switch rooms, did not get any toiletries at all during the stay. The owner, after stating that we would get the free breakfast, told me at breakfast the next morning that my breakfast was NOT free, because my room rate was so low. Very unprofessional, I notified hotels.com and they issued me a credit, but this owner clearly doesn't live up to his promises. Stay away.

Don't pass on this gem!
Flo is a wonderful host, he could not do enough to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. A bit out of the way, but close enough to get around . His food, his tips on what to do, he tries to help you any way he can. He advised me of a fabulous tour guide, and gave me a contact with a reliable cab driver. Would have no hesitations of staying here again. I made a friend with Flo! :)

Beautiful view! Exceptionally friendly and helpful host. Practical room, desk to work at, coffee maker. Good lighting. Very quite and peaceful. Can walk to Father Rooster. That’s about 1/2 mile and quicker going there down the hill than coming back up. Otherwise need to car to get around.
