The good: The property is beautiful all around. Exploring is fun, and there are tons of good things to see. It is breathtaking.
The bad: The room itself was not nice. It felt more like a $50 bottom tier hotel instead of the $400 hotel room it was. Fridge was unplugged and stinky (but worked after I plugged it in). The pull out mattress in the sofa was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever felt, my son did not enjoy that at all. I think they expect the outside (which is awesome) to overcompensate.
I've paid for parking at hotels before. This is a thing in cities where they have very limited space, and so the parking lot is valuable, I expect to pay $10, perhaps even $20 for a night. At this location, they have hundreds/thousands of acres of open space available, and the car charge is $48? Seriously? We will never be back at this hotel again, period.
Besides the outside of the hotel (which is great), the best part is we only paid for one night here. We spent the rest of our time at the Hilton Naniloa, and that was an awesome hotel.
