"Reception The staff on reception went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We travelled to Braintree to celebrate my 80th birthday as our family is somewhat scattered, with our eldest daughter living in Braintree. We had booked 3 rooms and the wonderful reception staff allowed my daughter access to each room to leave special gifts for us and balloons in my room. There was even a birthday card and prosecco from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with vegetarian sausages for one of my family. In all, nothing was too much trouble. We were able to order taxi's from the hotel to the venue and the bar was open for a nightcap on our return. A huge thank you to all at the Holiday Inn Express Braintree for helping make my birthday so memorable. "

We booked a couples spa package, that included afternoon tea.massage, and then relaxing in the steam room jacuzzi and pool. Our suite was so nice clean spacious with a four poster bed. We will be coming back for a 4th visit. "
