Formed by tidal movement the sand swirls of Hill Inlet are a sight to see from the air. From ground level it's a pristine beach but once you're flying above it the landscape comes to life. #australia #beach #paradise

I was concerned that the cyclone in March (2017) would've made it a bad time to visit whitehaven (June 2017), and although most of the foliage is gone, it is starting to grow back and it was still very much worth the visit! So beautiful! (The snorkeling at that time was canceled because visibility post cyclone was still bad - but they added an extra hike to compensate). Wish I could hang up there for the different tides for the color changes... but you have to go with a tour group, so although it was a decent amount of time, it was still "regulated". I'm just happy the sun came out on a rainy day so I could get this picture!
