Friendly Staff, Uncomfortable Stay
I recently stayed at The Cabin Hotel and had a mixed experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, which made me feel valued as a guest. The location is also a plus, conveniently situated near the airport, malls, and various restaurants.
However, several areas need significant improvement. The air conditioning was a major issue. Despite setting it to 16 degrees, it felt like 24 degrees Celsius, which is challenging in a hot country like Ghana. More concerning was the lack of AC or fans in the lobby and common areas, making them extremely uncomfortable, especially given the high temperatures.
Another significant problem was the running water. At one point, the water stopped while I was in the shower, covered in soap. It took about 10-15 minutes for the water to come back, possibly due to a power outage and the generator not supporting the water supply.
The hotel also charges a fee of USD 20 for airport transfers on departure flights. I recommend that future guests consider using Uber or Bolt instead, as their fares typically range from $2 to $5.
Overall, while the staff and location were great, the issues with air conditioning and running water made my stay less than memorable. These key areas need attention to ensure a more comfortable experience for future guests.
