Excellent hotel
We stayed in several hotels in Japan and this was the best. Excellent location in the midst of the city, good breakfast, large room, good restaurants in the hotel and nearby. Good views from room and the roof top bar. Plus excellent value for the price of the room.

Super close to attractions amazing view
Amazing view from the corner room! Pool wasn’t included in the stay which was unfortunate but the facilities were nice and very central to all tourist attractions, super close to walk to all!

Hotel handles large numbers of guests, but it is only partly set up for that. Room was decent size, smelled stuffy / smoky despite being non-smoking room. View was beautiful. Bathroom was small / fairly basic. All in all, ok, but nothing to write home about. Elevators to higher floors can take a long time to arrive. Queues for breakfast can be daunting. Breakfast food choice is very limited. Breakfast restaurant is poorly managed. Tables take a long time to clean, leading extended queues. Looks inefficient and understaffed.

Last time I stayed here was 5 years ago. It’s a beautiful hotel. Classically elegant and the staff as always are faultless. What this hotel also offers are some of the most beautiful vistas. Hiroshima is city surrounded by beautiful landscape. I’m looking forward to my third visit.

Room with a view
The RIHGA is located in the center of Hiroshima with easy walking access to the Peace Park and the castle. An easy 10 minute cab ride from the Shinkansen. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The front desk and concierge service were both very helpful. I would highly recommend the RIHGA. If your budget allows, get a room on one of the higher floors. The view is spectacular. If you’ve never been to Hiroshima, make sure you try the okonkmiyaki, you won’t regret it.
